ugly potato chips or fries

do you eat them? the ones with the green overfried end or the black spot. Extra wrinkled and greasy?

i personally do not. i think they taste bad. people always give me shit about it but i don't like the burnt up and deformed chips.

I don't like the ones that are burnt or crispy little slivers or soft greasy smears. The black spots and green ends ... if the rest of the fry looks OK, I'll just pinch the offending portion out. cn

Some shops sell fries, especially shoestring or curly, that have been fried into kettle-chip submission. Those I uniformly dislike ...

i like the little crunchy fries that look like they got left in the basket and fried twice. i wouldn't eat fries or chips with burnt brown bits until my early 20s. i like when chips are folded over like a taco. basically if it isn't green, i'll eat it.

lol I was just eating some chips and noticed a real nasty moldy looking green chip.I had to throw them out after seeing it.It had these bubbles and shit on it lol

I consider the Pringles thing unlikely ... it could be that they select potatoes that don't meet size/shape requirements for ordinary chips/fries/crisps ... but I'd be very surprised indeed if they used "tails" from actual fry manufacture as a major ingredient.
Even so, I don't like Pringles at all, and BK's "new" fries formula some years ago made me think of pringles, with the bumpy texture and the overspiced "dehydrated" taste. Mind you, I love that dehydrated taste in mashies ... good instant taste better to me than real fresh mashies. Go figure. cn

Pringles are made from a type of batter with wheat, rice, corn, and potato (only 49% potato). It's a nasty dough-like crap that is fried (yes fried). I wouldn't feed that shit to my worst enemy.

More and more "food" is being made from processed mixtures that approximate the taste and texture of the food they are trying to imitate. It's to make higher revenue with the cheapest product possible. They have no concern for taste or nutritional value. It's all about the bottom line.

I have ALWAYS hated BK fries. Passionate, passionate hatred. Yucky.

I'm very obsessive about my food in general; I do bypass the funny-looking ones.
