Ok i have one plant that is about 4 weeks in and just popped its first five leaf set from seed. I have some other seeds in the same room in soil that have just started poppin out of the soil now i need to sex these seeds as early as possible because i cannot have males in my other grow room. My cab is a desk with drawers on either side of the center so im not workin with much space. Temps are too hot to flower so its veg only and propogation will my new seeds that have just started poppin out be ok if i put them on 12/12 right now and then switch em back to 18/6 after i determine sex so i can take clones off of them and stuff?

Thanks guys i know this has been asked before but im medicated and i cant seem to find it so im giving up for now. Anyone help me out it would be much appreciated

you can just keep them in 12/12 and still take clones, i did, worked a-okay.

but... i really have no clue what you're really asking...

you can switch them back to veg after they show sex, it will stunt them for a while (few days to a week) but it can be done without problems in most cases.

You should be fine either way you choose. You can flower them and just take a clone or two of each during flowering, or you can flip them until they show sex and then switch back to veg. Like Arsehole said though, you'll halt the process for a few days or so until the plant successfully transitions back into the veg state.

Ok i've got one plant that is a month in and i needed to sex it so i flipped the switch as per the advise above. Now once it shows sex i need to switch back to 18/6 because i have to pull at least one clone off of it and then i need to keep original plant for a bit and it cant be flowering. so i guess now the real question is if i keep flipping it back and forth because its this one plant throwing off my rotation will it hurt all the little guys that are just startin to pop out of the soil? I will end up just leaving it on 12/12 until the little ones show sex after i get the big one out of there. Its just the one totally killin my rotation. I dont mind the slow down the box im growing these in is only for veg and i have a lot of other mothers going already these are just the new ones im looking to start playing with.
