interesting that no one asks about the strain used..

looks like its related to the "big bud" strain. a very very heavy yielder (though lacking in potency unless crossed with something good, usually losing some of the yield, but kicking any average strains ass into their mouths)

a hashy indica type bud too..

an example of yield difference, papaya, rather popular strain, very average (considering what is one the market) buds in size, though small plants.

the bigbud variety i had, smaller plant (vegged short) had 3-4 times bigger buds than the papaya and the other 2 strains i was running at the same time.

and then its differences within one strain, i have four sisters going now, identical parents and all, all plants look the same, except one is a runt and the fourth is a giant, much much bigger buds, clawed leafs (every time, no matter what i do) and more harsher smoke (very resiny though and quick finisher)

so its kinda funny looking to the lights especially.. (especially since he´s using low wattage lamps which kinda illustrates the point of how light is overrated to quite some extent)

the hydro equipment would amp it up a bit too, but not that much and you need to get it down pat with all the right nutes and stuff (And the gain isnt that much, not compared to a properly done soil grow)

but the number one thing, that matters, what ive seen grow after grow, is strain.

(that is IF you have mastered the basics of keeping a plant happy, cause improper gardening can seriously fuck up both potency and yield, making a highly potent high yielder give you a gram of oregano.but once you learn how to keep a plant happy, thats it, there´s a wall with every plant, you can push it bit, but not that much.if you want to greatly increase your yield, look to other strains, or grow more plants (if you love that smoke))

but btw, thats 2 feet of space to grow 43 g.

thats 6 feet of space to grow 129g (had to use a calc to fig that out, damn im stoned :))

mjeh, making a much repeated point, 23w cfls are great if you just need a bit of smoke now and then, potent good smoke can be had from them, but if you need more than that, then you should go hps and save yourself some money and trouble. (specially if you need a shitload more)

haha im pretty sure he does use the dehydrator lol laying the bud down like that can cause it to mold dude
no dude, it's not going to cause his buds to mold. in fact those racks are perfect cause they have good airflow underneath. he knows what he's doing and for just a couple weak cfls im pretty damn impressed.

Hi all - I've got a small grow box - 1 x 2 x 2ft I built a few years back fitted with 2 - 23w cfl. It's got a PC fan venting through an integral carbon filter with lightproof passive intakes.
I grew out 4 of my usual grapefruit hashplant clones in a 6qt rubbermaid type storage box (w/ added drainage holes). Flowered for 10 weeks in miracle grow potting soil + some perlite, some garden compost and a tablespoon of Bat guano. I fed them 2-3 times with fish/kelp emulsion, and one dose of 1/2 strength miracle grow bloom booster. Plain water with molassas for the last 2 weeks or so. I LST the hell out of them, some bent nearly to the rim of the pot. Some buds are within 1 inch of the bulbs - they of course grew the largest and densest - as dense as my HPS grow.
This is about as simple basic vanilla as it gets - without anything fancy, here's what you can get...

Yeah - isn't that a good one! I hear alot of claims like that...
I know this is an old thread, but I'm in the midst of a grow to basically find the truth behind having more than one plant in a container. I'm wondering if the newton effect goes on, the strong survive, i figured this may be an easier way to find the best possible mother, what are your findings on multiple plants in one container? Any distinct positives and negatives lol mine's also in a clay soil mixture to see how that works out
