Thanks for stopping everyone!

Stink- in all the grows I've built, I spent alot of time searching for the right size pots - that is the right size pot, for the right size plant fitting the space efficiently. Often took some trial and error. Like I said, I LST ALOT, and can get pretty big bushy plants in relatively small containers - like Japanese bonsai. When I empty the pot after harvest and see the plants just getting early root bound (but still healthy) then I know I've got it right.

Cool little grow, Pullin' weeds. Ah the cfl, cheap yet effective. Proven time and time again. +rep
Thanks! - Yeah, don't knock the cheap and easy! Everything in there can be bought at any hardware store or home center for less than $50.
Some details and photos to come...

So here's the lid off - just some vent holes, a timer and a PC fan with transformer. The fan blows into the back area - an elevated screen covered in a bed of carbon. It does OK.

Inside, I've got the same set as last go. 2 -23w cfls. I've got 3 plants this time (a little sad looking now - recovering from transplant). They'll veg out for a few weeks, do some mad LST and come away with a similar crop.

CFLs are really all about distance. People often don't get decent yields bc they keep the lights too far away. 2 -3 inches is about the limit with these low wattage bulbs - not matter how many you use. Some of the monster cfls they have now might get a couple more inches, but still should be mighty close compared to HID.

Extrapolating here - CFLs should not be used to grow big plants. Keep everything small, tight and controlled; you can get great yields. Probably perfect for autos...

hello
congrats with your bud pile... :)
how do you make the plants to stay in such a small size? i am now seriously planing my first grow-closet, but it is only 0,5 x 0,5 x 1,8 m big (small) the size of bush that you got is what i wouldn't want to increase. i knew i should rent a bigger apartment with one extra room :D did you use the same lamps for flowering?

Heavy training - I use coated wire to pull the branches down. After a few days, all the little under-buds turn upwards. Let those veg out another week or so, and you end up with a dozen or more decent cola sites. I sometimes do some topping to encourage bushiness even more.
I used to do Bonsai - not pot but the Japanese "little" trees. The wire training techniques, as well as other aspects have been really helpful in growing cannabis.

So basically twO cfls? But good fim and Lst right?
Foliar feed and organics Plus tea right
Not even - Miracle grow soil, some organic nutes some not (Miracle grow). No foliar feeding.
I don't buy the whole FIM thing. FIM is too imprecise - it's all the luck of the cut and there isn't any difference if you FIM v.s. let the top grow out another couple days and then cut to the number of growth tips you want.
But, yes I cut and heavily train.

btw what is lst?
Low Stress Training. Bending branches to where you want them - where they get the best light.

Thanks!

Freaking amazing job you have done with 2 - 23 w cfls!!! My last grow was four Nirvana Northern Light Autoflower Fems in a 25 gallon rubbermaid with another stacked on top. Used two 70 w hps two 26 w cfls and one 42 w cfl for side lighting, got great results as well. Many people told me not to grow my plants all in one container but I wanted to do a little experimentation. Grow went very well and I was very pleased with the results. Very nice Crystalized bright green buds with white/orange hairs like mad! I am now doing another grow also seeds from Nirvana, not autoflowers this time just fems. Two white widow and two ak-48. I can't wait to see the results from these ladies! P.S. Don't buy autoflowering strains from Nirvana. The last batch had very unstable genetics and some batches failed to flower at all!

Thanks for checkin things out!
I've grown up to 4 plants in the same container that I ususally do 1 in - everything went just fine. The total yield was about the same. Kind comes down to a given volume of soil can support X amount of plant - it doesn't matter if it's 4 smaller plants or 1 big one.
My Pineapple chunk in my perpetual cabinet has about 10 day left on it - mouth is watering. Not bulky fat colas as on my others, but long and covered with bowl-sized buds. Def more sativa in it.

Wow that's nuts. Almost 2 zones from 2 cfls. The bud looks like mexican dirt shwag (no offense) but who cares when its only from 2 hhouse bulbs

Props to u

Not to hate but you'd be a shitty dealer and I'd never buy from you again if you sold me buds with stems on them like that. In fact I'd be pretty pissed off.
