Day 40 - 4/9/2020

Well huge disappointment yesterday night when I got home from work the new Mega Crop and Bud Explosion fertilizer wasn't delivered yet. And here I was so excited. :( Should definitely be here today though so I kinda put off a watering today by lightly wetting each pot with 5.9 pH water. Hopefully it's just enough to get through the day and they will have plenty of food and water tomorrow morning.

Got a mini jungle starting in there haha.

Day 41 - 4/10/2020

Everyone was very thirsty and got a dose of the new nutrients. I had thought about only feeding one plant and seeing how it did, but I decided to just go for it. I hope they all respond well to a constant source of food now. WT2 on the top left was feed the nutrient solution but I forgot to pH it after mixing it up for that one plant. pH was 6.2 so I think it'll be fine. pHed the rest of the nutrient solution to 5.8 and fed it to the rest of the girls. Bottom right NL1 plant had the two right most tops semi-supercropped, just enough bend to even out the canopy on that one.

So far plants seem to have handled the first watering with the new fertilizer. WT2 fell over into the side of the tent. They are all balanced right now on small plastic risers I made. Hence the tipping lol. I wouldn't say they were damaged just smooched. I turned that side towards the light so hopefully it'll recover quicker that way.

Day 42 - 4/11/2020

Woke up and I'm just amazed what happened overnight. When in the tent the canopy looks so full you can't tell where one plant starts and the next begins. It's beautiful to look at but starting to make me wonder how much of a challenge it's going to be to water them if I can't pull them out lol. Hmm. Something to ponder on today.

Day 43 - 4/12/2020

The girls don't know it yet but... the lights are going out early on them starting tonight. 5pm bedtime instead of partying until 11pm. They need their rest to flower into some nice buds. I'm actually looking forward to the stretch because I'm interested in seeing how tall they get and how i'm going to manage them all.

They were all ready for a watering this morning so I mixed up Mega Crop with a dash (1/8 tsp) of Bud Explosion. This came out to EC 1.265 from a base PPM of 39 and watered in at 5.9 pH. I skipped the CalMag this time, see if the fert is enough. WT2 was definitely just slightly heavier than the rest though.

I also raised the humidifier a few inches so it would continue to blow over the leaves. As they get taller I'm going to have to figure out something else I think, or point towards a wall. I'd rather not have all that condensation build up on the wall though. IDK. I also supercropped the two tall branches on the NL1 on the bottom right. I've already redirected them a couple times and they keep wanting to pop up.

I also took a few pictures of WT2 when I pulled it out today. Thing looks like a bush.

Day 44 - 4/13/2020

Yesterday was the first day of 12 hrs of light. As you'd expect nothing major visually changed since, but they continue to look very healthy and for that I've extremely happy.

pistil_4_13_2020.jpg

I added back in my other fan that hadn't been in use since the last grow. It was hung from the top bar and it is blowing constant across the top of the canopy. This fan I put on the timer so with lights out they'll get a little break and only get air blown on them from the oscillating fan on the floor of the tent.

I also pulled out a big hand-full of fan leaves that were directly blocking flower sites or were just laying completely on another leaf. Being only my second grow and a rookie, I'm trying to be careful not to defoliate too much. defol_4_13_2020.jpg

Day 45 - 4/14/2020

Water day. Mixed up 4 tsp of Mega Crop into 5 gal of water. Came out to like 1.6 EC so I diluted it down to 1.5 EC and pHed to 6.0. Watered the first two plants WT2 and CG2 to runoff. My first time ever watering to runoff. Measured the runoff of CG2 at like 9.0 EC and 4500 ppm. Made a post about that, not sure if that's even possible. Plants seem healthy and are showing no sign of burn, perhaps the reading was off from the old organic amendments I added early in their life and on transplants before I decided to switch to Mega Crop. The rest I watered just to before run off.

They are just humming along. Love it. My modified work location because of everything going on with COVID-19 puts me soooo much closer to home. Love being able to peek on the girls before it's lights out for them. Almost like I'm tucking them in for the night.

Day 46 - 4/15/2020

Girls look good. I did spot the tiniest bit of nutrient burn on the WT's. Only spotted on a few leafs. Will keep an eye on it for sure. NL1 looks like it's ready to stretch, creeping taller every day. Lights are currently at about 19 inches from the tops, at least that's where it was yesterday when I checked. I will check again tonight and adjust if needed.

Light defoliation to expose more bud sites blocked by the leaves and some to help air flow. defol_4_15_2020.jpg

And a picture of the light nute burn. nute_burn_4_15_2020 (2).jpg

I'm going to mix the nutrients tomorrow with the water at a much lower EC. Back to 1.2 for now.

Day 47 - 4/16/2020

The girls are beginning their 5th day on the new 12/12 schedule. Checked the de-chlorinated 5 gallon bucket of water for ppm. environment_4_16_2020.jpg 34 ppm, pretty good for tap water. This time mixing up nutrients I used 2 tsp of Mega Crop into the 5 gal of water. Came out to just of 1.0 EC. Added in 1/8 tsp of Bud Explosion and it was still under the target so I added 1/8 tsp more. So in total 1/4 tsp brought the nutrient mix up to 1.17 EC. environment_4_16_2020 (2).jpg After the last mix gave the plants nute burn I wanted to lower it way back down and go from there. After mixing up the nutes the water pH was 6.0-6.1, kept teetering on the line. Brought the pH down to 5.8 and watered all the plants.

Pulling each plant out to water them because of the tiny tent and one access door is becoming a pain in the ass. I can pretty much nail exactly how much water to give them without runoff. So I may see how they continue to fair without watering to runoff. Just might pull one from the front and I should be able to water the back ones fine. We'll see. :wall:

Photo before lights out again tonight. It's crazy to compare from just yesterday. The leaves defoliated are instantly back. All the tops are perked up and happy. On the bottom left side you can see a top of WT1 this morning kinda flopped over and in this photo it's up and stretching.

Day 48 - 4/17/2020

My observations upon opening the tent this morning... some of the top sites have stretched up. It may be hard to tell from pictures but visually in person I can notice them starting to stretch up and separate from the current canopy top. Barely, but I don't expect major changes in a single night lol. NL1 definitely looks like it's going to be the tallest based on it's current growth.

On the plus side the humidifier inside the tent seems to almost never run now. Over 2 days it maybe used 1/4 of the water reservoir.

Day 49 - 4/18/2020

Got some extra time to take some out of the tent photos today. Also water day and I mixed up the nutrients at 1.2 EC even though I said I was going to lower it. 2 tsp of Mega Crop and 1/4 tsp Bud Explosion came out to 1.2 so I got lazy and just left it. They didn't seem so bad at that before and they should be getting higher EC as they flower.

Day 50 - 4/19/2020

Plants still showing some moisture in the topsoil they'll be ready for more water tomorrow. The Northern Lights just continues to try to take over the entire tent. The OG2 in the back right is being dwarfed by the surrounding plants. OG2 is also showing some bad heat stress on the side where the heater outside the tent blows into the tent. Not much I can do at this point to fix that.

Day 51 - 4/20/2020

It's gotten to the point where it's extremely difficult to pull out each plant for watering now. At least without the possibility of damaging the plants. Pulled WT2 from the left rear of the tent for the first watering. Quickly decided against trying to pull each one out. Pulled out WT1 to put WT2 back in place. Watered WT1 and then pulled out CG1 to get the other ones in the back. Probably will be the plan from now on although the current setup isn't going to allow me to water to runoff. Going to see how that might affect things.
