I know you both probably sold medicine before this at any time did you pay millions of dollars in research to help sick people? I didn't think so. Oh but you care more about the patients you said????

you sound like such a corporate shrill
why would they invest in research?.. cause it's beneficial to them. no, i doubt many MMAR growers put tonnes of money up for research, because it wasn't possible for them to.
(i do find it funny how some research is for growing.. something they seem to very much need improving on ;) )

look buddy, i had a similar stance during the MMAR -granted not so condescending, as i had friends who partook. (i have medical conditions, but never was part of the system) i didn't like people hiding behind a medical card to sell pot, and yes i saw people abuse it, and scoffed at it.. but you know what? hindsight; it was much better for everyone then (well apart from the greedy corporate cashcropping douchbags who are now LP's and have a monopoly on MMJ)

you think we gain more with a bit of taxes from these guys while making them millionaires?
i think everyone was better off growing their own meds. and if some MMAR growers sold.. most cash they got, went right back into local stores and shops anyway.
likely did as much or more good than anything the taxes will.

i'll admit; i prefer a system where joe blo and his retired wife can supplement their income a bit, while treating themselves. -now that doesn't mean a warehouse but if they sell a bit, i'm fine. *don't get me wrong; i HATE the greedy MMAR growers who took advantage and went too far, as they're the reason we're in this new system/mess.
it's much better than a system where some douchebags with a bunch of cash own a monopoly on it and have full control IMO.

i think the problem is; you look at many of us how we look at the new LP's; nothing more than greedy cashcroppers.
*funny thing is; the cashcropping users of the old system.. are likely the LP's of the new one.. the ones you hated most you now defend.

They should be focusing their energies on learning to grow a quality product. Putting the horse before the cart. Again, you are still a fool.

Just look who is running or working of the LP"s at least 1/2 of them working/part of the board/owners were illegal growers or massive MMAR abusers.

I'm confused. Why does that quote say greenthumbz420? Also links to the wrong post.

I do agree with some of what you're saying though. All the wrong people are involved in this LP business.
It should have been CC's and others that have been doing this "responsibly" for some time now.

If you are insinuating that Tweed has put in millions of dollars in research to help sick people I would like you to back that up with some facts.

I do care about patients. That's why I am passionate about this topic, and why I can't stand your ignorant slanted views.

I have a long history of helping patients. I'm sure you or anyone at Tweed can't claim the same.

Time to put up or shut up fool.

Yes Tweed spending millions on research is surely ALL about the patients. Clearly more research is needed on the most fucking researched substance in the history of mankind.

It's yet another publicity stunt. I'm sure they're putting some of their massive investment dollars into it, but it will be for public appeal, investor reassurance, health relations, etc - I doubt any of it will actually impact their business.

Everytime they make an "announcement" like this I go check their stock - always the same shit.
They need a miracle or an impressive crop (which would take a miracle at this point) to actually get investors excited.

This is what happens when you rush everything at scale.

"The first experiments on how environment can affect the health and productivity of cannabis plants are already underway. "We know that there are a huge number of environmental factors that can influence the quality of medical marijuana, and our goal is to narrow down on some of those key success factors," said Dr. Lesley Campbell, Assistant Professor in the Ryerson Department of Chemistry and Biology."

Uh....this first experiment is to increase production and make more money.

Maybe their research will tell them to move their damn T-5's closer already.....

I imagine they need to build/buy a second facility and start fresh if they want to salvage things.
Unless their expansion rooms are 100% sealed from the original facility, whatever they had to irradiate will probably continue to require irradiation.

But they can study whatever the hell they want - I'm sure they'll be growing quality product before they run out of money.

Or they should have spend money or proper horticultural lighting like PL or Gavita Pro. I'm just waiting for my new 600W Dual ended Gavitas to come win and will do a side by side video of the brightness of those things. They are insane bright.

I had a local LED manufacturer that makes LED's and is covering local hothouses to LED's come into my store and ask us if were interested in carrying his LED's. Where like ehh probably not. He was like well let me show them to you. Well he had it all set up and had a micromole/photon light meter. He set it all up and was interested in testing the Gavita 600W Pro (Non dual ended)

LOL when he tested the Gavitas he was like WOW. His speil for his LED's changed quite a bit. Now not to be dick heads we told him if he lent us the LED's array we'll test it sided by side, so now need to find a spot to do a side by side test. I'll post photos of his LED"S later today.

Wow...I've got to apologize to Tweed. I take it all back after hearing their latest news release.
" We are very pleased to announce that Tweed will be investing two million dollars into patient / strain research. Tweed will be selecting three hundred patients with a variety of ailments to participate in an ongoing research program designed to identify what strains work best for what ailments. The selected patients will have their medication provided at no charge in return for detailed feedback on different strains. A preference will be given to patients with low family incomes that find it a struggle to pay for their medication.
We believe this is a win win situation. Now it's time to wake up, you're dreaming."
