I've been trying to make shatter i've let my bho sit out for a few days after i shoot into pirex.. I then heat and scrape onto parchment and put into vac chamber which i have on a griddle on low heat it ranged from 100F to 160F when it got high i lowered it i was trying to find perfect temp to set griddle too. This is my second run now and the first is sticky but now runny like honey oil. Btw im doing about 20-30 Grams at a time. Any help appreciated

It will always wax out quicker if you cook it past 140f. It may shatter for the time being, but will collect moisture over time. 130f for 45mins for 4 hours (time is strain/properly cured bud dependant) keep your BHO flat right out of the pyrex and DO NOT mix. The only time you should be taking it off the pyrex (which btw should be sitting on a bowl of hot water while your blasting) is to move it onto the parchment/silica or whatever your using in your purger. I repeat, do not mix or stir nothing untill it comes OUT of the purger. I understand it will get somewhat mixed, just try your best you will eventually do it with your eyes closed. Too high of temps too fast will not take 100% of the moisture out. Which is the only way to make shatter that stays shatter.

Btw, i use a digital heating pad set to 135f, with my vacuum pump mason jar measured optically (laser therm) and kep within 128-133f. Look at your bubbles. Do they have a rainbow hue? If so drop the internal temp to 128f untill your bubbles turn clear. Once that rainbow hue fades, bump it up to 133f. Your bubbles will eventually stop rising and popping. Could be 30 mins could be 2 hours. Depends on strain and tane. never put your BHO in the freezer/fridge if you like shatter.

Sugary looking? I broke my pump a few times. 28hg will work just takes a bit longer. Honestly if i do my own nug runs then they are 100% shatter 9/10 times unless inuse some weird ass oily cures buds. But when i try to turn someone elses bho into shatter it only stays shatter for a few days then it waxed out again. If you dont get all the moisture out right after you nug run then it wont stay shatter for long.

Try it bro, i live in high heat high humidity and my shatter stays shatter. Btw, BHO can be oil, shatter, wax, crumble ect. All depends on your methods. What you want is shatter. Ive seen somebody collapse a lung off wax.

Yes you can shatter oil but it will not stay shatter!

Dude, I've been growing and "blasting" (I'd definitely NOT say shooting, it just sounds...odd haha) for 5 years. I run a continuous cycle and grow some pretty incredible herb. Not once have I EVER run shatter at 140f . I'm sorry if I'm offending anyone but that's insane, if you want shatter you need to use as little heat as possible. 90-100f period. Don't let anyone tell you differently, I've run literally thousands of grams and usually around 200-300 grams at a time. Obviously don't grind or break up your material and if you're running trim try to keep it as "in tact" as possible, don't crush it up too much. Breaking up your material in any form allows more plant cells, fats and lipids to be released into your final product making it very sappy. Just blast into Pyrex and from the glass to the parchment agitate your goods as little as possible, the more you agitate the less stable it becomes, pour out what you can and scrape the rest out very carefully. It's difficult to scrape your oil and not have it cloud on you but if you're careful and either keep it separate or to one side of your pattie you can manage this consistency variation quite easily. I purge in a 3 gal vac chamber on a griddle with a 3 cfm Thomas performance pump (inexpensive setup) for roughly 6-8 hours on both sides meaning I flip my pattie halfway. When I've achieved shatter that literally shatters and my pattie looks like a big piece of Swiss cheese I know I've got exceptional product. Not all conditions are to be held as standards as not everyone uses the same equipment under the same temperatures internal and ambient, so don't take anyone's posts too seriously. The only way to actually succeed is to experiment with your abilities until you fine tune them. Don't be afraid to fuck up some bud/oil it's how you become educated, not by listening to shmucks like me online haha! Good luck and I hope you reach your desired consistency.
