They collectivised the 13 colonies to create a national army. Democracy is a collective. To give the government any power is collectivist. Still collectivist, still progressive.

You operate under the false assumption that collectivism is always wrong. It is you that is mislabeling anything you don't like as progressive and collectivist.
did they colloctivise the colonies or did the colonies volunteer to unionize and remain sovereign?

seems like two opposing concepts.

granting government limited power to uphold individual rights is hardly a collectivist movement.

democracy isn't always a collective either....unless you think being part of the collective should be compulsory.

I said without tax referencing the income tax, and conceded voluntary taxes were always a given. duties, imports ect.

would you like me to be disingenuous? I could try.

Nazi Nazi pedo Hitler antisemitic mysoginy racism and shit.....there that should comfort most in the room.
How was I supposed to know you meant income tax? You just said "paid no taxes." Voluntary taxes aren't what those other taxes are called. Maybe you mean indirect taxes. You were pointing to some retarded libertarian fantasy land that never existed.

They didn't remain sovereign, they allowed the feds to tax them and draft their citizens to the national military.

Why do you think collectivism can't be voluntary? The truth is that people collectivise all the time voluntarily. Those colonies voluntarily collectivized. It is in our self interest to collectivise sometimes.

Having any sort of democratic government is collective. The people collectively rule.

progressivism is a collectivist movement so let's start at the top of your list. a revolution to limit the powers of government, indeed to enumerate them is quite the opposite of collectivist given the government is of and by the people.

simply labeling things you like that get accomplished as progress doesn't make them progressive.

If we eliminate the income tax I will consider that progress, so I'm therefore progressive. nope.

promote the general welfare clause is a great example, as is the interstate commerce clause and supremacy.

a document intended to bind the government, interpreted at certain points to construe the government as unlimited.

progress. and progressive.
It's funny how fast you gave up arguing against my list.

defense was considered "the blessing of ordinary society and civil government".

at least you're using a period dictionary now and that's progress therefore I am a progressive.
Here comes the cypticism. Why can't you stay point? Now who is the condescending ass? Disingenuous.

yep. it's on point though. being somewhat of a condescending ass is about 1/100th of the hate vomit you've spewed at me in the last few days. I'm glad we are maintaining this level of cordiality in conversation though. it's progressive no?

So the new alt right tactic is playing reverse racism victim so you don't come across as outright Nazis.

I addressed your entire list twice. the American revolution was individualist, not collectivist; as evidenced by history and the founding documents.

the rest of the "progress" is simply printing money thereby centralizing the economy more and more....no matter what heart strings you try and pull for the reasoning....
from war to welfare to studying the size of whale dicks for climate change.

what do you think a bill of credit is?
