Poor Travis Barker. He is a good man.. Good friend of mine. I'm glad he's ok because we were planning on going to Aspen soon.

But really .. I can't bring myself to care about someone I don't know personally. If he died, it would not affect me at all whatsoever. lol ...

they are still in critical condition and expected to die soon, dunno how you classify them as "okay"

Wow, people in Poway and North County must be reeling right now. He's gonna have to get his tats cleaned up after all this, too. :(

Being alive is ok enough for me ! I sense that he is going to make it ... We'll see. I wonder how much of his skin got seared off...Must have been an awful sight.

I get emotional about death at random times... Most of the time it doesn't get to me on that level though. :)

i know what you mean, im normally fine with the notion of death, and ive been to enough funerals to see what the death of a loved one can do to the human psyche... its not pretty. but NORMALLY, like 95% of the time its not on my mind at all, and if it is its no big deal
but then just the other night i was thinking that... at one point, and i dont know when, i will DIE. JESUS CHRIST IM GOING TO DIE theres nothing i can do about it... that just gave me such a weird creepy feeling right down to like the inner most part of me

like WHAT AN EXPERIENCE, especially if your on your death bed and you know its coming... what is going through your head? what does it FEEL like to die of natural causes? what could that possibly be like?

I do know exactly what you are saying too... The feeling you are describing is something every human being goes through at some point in their lives. You lay in bed thinking deeply into it... it starts with the whole 'WHY am I alive in the first place?' ... Then it's the feeling of insignificance because there is no true 'meaning' to life no matter which way you look at it.

I always wonder how I'm going to die.. In a way I anticipate it because I want to see if there is anything beyond this 4th dimensional reality. . and I have a strong feeling that there is.. Yet it's the chance that there isn't that makes thinking about my own death difficult to fathom.. But then again, if there is some kind of transcendence, will life be any the more 'meaningful?' :-o:wall::weed:

I don't think so. If you know it's coming you will be very, very sad. And you will be sad because you'll realize that, ultimately, nothing matters.

In the end, you have to go to the grave with your own actions. Regret. Is it better to regret something you have done, or something you haven't done?

GrowTech

stays relevant.
they're in "serious condition" not critical. Not to be nit picky, but there is a difference. They are suspected to survive.

Here is what the article says:

Barker and DJ AM, whose real name is Adam Goldstein, were in critical condition at a burn center in Augusta, Ga., about 75 miles southwest of Columbia, hospital spokeswoman Beth Frits said.

That looks like "critical condition"

by the way, they are EXPECTED to survive, not to be nit picky.

The end is like before you were born, to accept an alternate reality to an afterlife is pretty selfish. IMO

I am a mere mortal, I fear not my mortality. One day I will die, just like you, and everyone you know. Then we will rot together in the ground, returning to mere dirt.

Who's Travis Barker? Blink182?

Flying around in private planes and selling out, he had it coming. I don't know him, and don't care. Everyone has to die sometime. :p
