This is a question about light cycle interruption, not plant damage

A vegging tent (18-6) had one light left on for the full 24 hours.

I know the plants are still vegging, either way, but will going from an 18-hour cycle to a 24 and back hurt my plants?

Should be no problems. Vegging plants are not so sensitive to changes in light hours. The same cannot be said about flowering plants. Change back to 18/6 and you will be fine.
