Amazing the cop next door says that is BS like most things your dumb ass post's.
They do not practice with hollow point rounds.
I'm quoting fox news

As for concern about the type of bullets -- hollow points, which expand upon impact -- the statement said the type is "standard issue" and is used during "mandatory quarterly firearms qualifications and other training sessions."

as usual the minor detail where cheezie and bucky are correct derails the debate.

most police depts and ALL federal agencies require armed agents to qualify using the duty pistol and the issue ammo.

this makes sense since the trajectory, recoil, feeding characteristics and weapon performance vary from round to round. no hunter would simply grab a box of random ammo and set up for a shot, until you know how that round acts in YOUR weapon, you cannot count on it, and some arms (particularly Glocks and 1911's) are picky as fuck about the cartridge OAL and the bullet ogive, and jam up if they are not provided ammo within their narrow specs.

youre incorrect, get opver it, and stop giving the nabobs ammunition to derail the facts.

the federal govt does not use BILLIONS of rounds. nor do they have a pressing need for armor personnel carriers, or a new more powerful SMG for standard police work, nor does the US military or the Dept of Defense have any use for these items, nor is there any rational reason that these purchases might be "straw Deals" as the feds so quaintly have named buying a gun as a gift for your nephew.

DHS is preparing for something, and that makes me nervous, particularly since i dont trust lefties in general or Bwana Obama in specific.

OMFG i'm shitting my pants in horror at this imposing beast of a kiosk.
We have such things locally, but they have a coffee sign on top. How they can fit an entire coffee manufactory into such a tiny booth I'll never know. But they're successfully competing with Big Green. cn

As a vet who has been collecting a disability check for about 2 years now; I must say that I never felt anyone was after me.
Not very many people know who's really after them. People will say they had no idea their neighbor was a serial killer for 30 years.

So it's normal to think you're safe. But it's stupid to completely trust those feelings.

Another buy of hollow points.~

While the Department of Homeland Security continues to ignore members of Congress demanding to know why the federal agency is engaged in an apparent arms build-up, the DHS has just announced it plans to purchase another 360,000 rounds of hollow point ammunition to add to the roughly 2 billion bullets already bought over the past year.
.The DHS has now purchased over 2 billion rounds of ammo.

A solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities website details the DHS’ plan to purchase 360,000 rounds of “Commercial leaded training ammo (CLTA) Pistol .40 caliber 165 grain, jacketed hollow point.” The bullets are to be delivered to the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Artesia, New Mexico, the same destination for 240,000 hollow point rounds which were purchased only last month.

thatsw hy newmexico is constantly hidden under a pall of gunsmoke, and the entirte desert southwest is piled up 3 inches deep in spent brass.

also lulz at the media for talking about .40s&w hollowpoints and providing a picture of 9mm Parabellum FMJ's.
