Yeah man I've never had plants grow so quickly in my tent! Makes me feel stupid for working so hard to optimize the black dog...
Speaking of the BD240U, I still haven't heard from Black Dog about the status of my light. I'll be emailing tomorrow or Thursday to see what's what....

Some aromas are starting to build up in the tent, though no one is flowering yet....soon though

Got my BD240U back today. They replaced some diodes it looks like. But, other than that, it seems exactly the same. I didn't open it up, they put the warranty sticker back on, but when I peek inside through the vents, it looks the same. I was going to put it up on ebay, but they suspended my account over 8 cents that shouldn't even be there. m-effers...the time it will take to talk to their customer service is worth way more than 8 cents, but it will be a cold day in hell before I just pay it. Ah the price of stubbornness.....

But, I give BD an A on customer service. They must have only had the light for about a week total, since ground shipping takes a few days.

They're all continuing the march towards my bowl The three headed girl in the back right has a calcium deficiency, so I bumped up the Cal-Mag to 1.2 mL/L. Haven't ever had to go much higher than that, so I hope she gets happy again. The party cup girls are looking good

I'm waffling on whether or not to sell the BD light. I feel like it makes a great backup, though I think something terrible would have to happen for all three COBs to go out at the same time....idk what to do. What do you guys think? Should I just get rid of it?

Sell it and invest in some bigger pots.

How big are they? they don't look much bigger than your party cups.

Haha, they really aren't. They're just standard 6 inch clay pots....took me almost two years to use up a big bag of dirt

Okay, I'll make the leap and sell the light. I'll guess I'll just save the money for an emergency COB fund, though I don't foresee any problems. They all run really cool, even at 1.7A for the 3070's.

Here's a quick shot of the girls. You can't really see it, but the back right girl has a pretty bad calcium deficiency going. I'm giving them lots of cal-mag, so she'll have to deal with it I guess. The rest are all doing pretty well:

I think I will have to raise the lights soon, but I really have no idea how high to keep them. Currently at about 13 inches above the canopy. If anyone has any input, it'd be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, I thought I'd put up a pick of the garden since one of the cup girls is finally flowering-707 Headband in the front center cup. The Bubba Kush is still growing, but topping and retopping her delayed the flowering I think. I put her up on a booster chair too, since she was starting to be shaded by the bigger girls. You can kind of see the damaged leaves on the girl in the back right as well.

Wow guys, I'm really happy with these COBs. Thanks everyone for posting your awesome grows, making me feel pretty stupid for buying something prebuilt that was so easy to do myself, and showing that they work so that I don't have to break any new ground Couldn't start growing last summer until about this time due to the heat...granted, it was a lot cooler, but still I think moving the heat sinks out was the best thing I could do for the girls-another big bonus. They are really doing well and frost is developing, especially on the liberty haze in the lower right (ignore those nasty spots on the back right girl, she's got issues, but still got some frost going, hah). Party cup girls are both doing well too

Got paid 330 bucks for the light today I'll miss that thing. Total shipping weight was 16 pounds, so I bet the BD240U weighed about 13 total. My new setup is less than half that weight

Hi everyone, a quick update on the girls: It looked like there was some light stress on the LSD in the middle, so I raised the 3590 up a couple inches. It's located in the middle, and is flanked by the 3070s which hang at an angle and are aimed at the opposite side of the tent, so the middle spot is pretty saturated with light from the top and both sides. I ran the nutes a little high and I got a few tips of most of the girls...oops but party cup girl is still looking good Frost abounds, so I'll start putting up some bud porn soon

The girls are all coming along:

Master Kush(front) is looking pretty tasty and so is the Liberty Haze(right and far back)... and the LSD in the middle looks like she's going to have some serious colas. The back left girl is delayed in flowering due to the rather extreme deficiency she experienced, but she's coming along as well. We're getting nice cool nights and my house stays cold for a while after sunup, so hopefully I can coax some nice colors out in the plants as they mature I can't wait to see how things finish up...still got a long way to go though, so I'm hoping I can keep things happy in the tent for a few more weeks.

There's two party cup girls in there too, but they like playing with the big girls just fine

Thanks man!! It's my regular camera, but the pics I've been posting are from a wireless security cam in my tent. Low resolution, but fun to use the night vision, and watch the plants blow in the breeze.

Plus I get an email with pics if it detects motion(tent opening) when I'm away.

The girls still have a long way to go, but they are looking good (not the "crispy critter," but she's not in these pics, hah)
