Heres a couple more links to go with that:

You get a generic ballast unlike the lumateks from before, but you also get yo-yo hangers and a timer.

This is the one I bought about 3 months ago(same people):

http://www.thelashop.com/catalog/400-Watt-High-Pressure-Sodium-HPS-Grow-Light-Kit-p-811.html

It says HPS grow light, but its got a digital ballast so you can run MH as well.

If you're going as high as 400 though, you should really invest in one that comes with a cool-tube or air-cooled hood unless you're growing in a large enough space where the heat wont build up as much.

If you buy one of the systems off e-bay ask to skip ebay all together and see if they'll give you a discount for doing so. They have always given me discounts when buying outside of ebay since they save on fees.

Those lumatek systems give you a 5 year warranty on the ballast. Not so on the generic ones. You have to decide if its worth paying the extra money for it or not.

Thank you so much! You all have been so awesome. I am truly grateful for all of your help.

I have been sick for so long and have been waiting for these plants to grow, and now, with all of your help, maybe I can get them going!

Thanks again and Happy Holidays to you all.:weed:

It has been really hard looking at all these flowering plants and vegging mine painfully long. The thread has been a wealth of information. I am pleased with how my grow is going and recently put 4 ladies into my flowering space.
They are Dutch Passion White Widow clones from Fem Seeds.

I had 2 plants that I topped, lst'd and trained to grow bushy.

Also 2 others that were only topped once and then LST'd to try and keep an even canopy. One of the shots came out blurry so it is camera shy. It looks pretty much the same as this one. With the hps light in the background it is hard to see the string, but the main cola has been pulled over to the left side.

How tall are your ceilings? Those are gonna be tall when you start flowering.

At harvest. This was just the lower branches. The main kolas stayed on for another few days:

I have 8' ceilings although my old starin used to finish at about 4'. This is my first WW grow and I am moving the light once a week. They have been in flowering about 2 weeks.

Tell me about it , soon after putting my WW into flower i found myself very short of headroom and suffering from leaf scorch. she exploded in height in a couple of days, its all under control now fortunately , new grow box built with a bit more headroom and the light right up tight in the apex with an extract fan running just level with the bulb, and a 2 inch gap round the bottom of the box for a passive intake , seems to be doing the job nicely. She must be happy as her leaves are starting to slowly frost over and no signs of distress whatsoever.

Peace , WoW

LittleTommy or anyone else, how much did your ladies stretch in the first two weeks? Mine have stretched 7-8 inches so far. They all stretched 5 inches in the first week, but only 2-3 in the second week. I used MH for the first two weeks since Ive heard it helps with the stretch. Itd be nice to compare it with those using HPS.

I'd say I got about 7 or 8 inch stretch in the second week of flower and the third about another 3 or 4 inch , had to rebuild my grow area due to the stretch, she really went mental and tried touching the lamp in about a 48 hour period, scorched leafs and bud sites galore, not a happy day , she's all good now though :) theres pics in mysig, you can see how she stretched in a couple of weeks , I was under the impression indica was a shrub , seems its only a shrub when its in veg . . ... lesson learned there though and I know what to expect the second time round :) WoW

.....salute to my sweet mistress, White Widow, and our own club founder: JOE! Wow! What a thread you've started here my friend. I have been off-site for a while and I was JAZZED to find it alive and growing! Got some new stuff going on in the garden these days, posted a new album: new rig. Still making some final adjustments to the new set-up, I'll post more when it's complete. :joint: S.L.

ruva...dude! that shit looks awesome, looks like they're gonna be heavy. I'm right on the same schedule as you with 6 of my own, no pics currently till I get a new camera battery, sorry. But I'm not going to see anything near that type of yield per plant on these. They were thrown into flower in order to fill an empty space, and to make space in the green room for the changes I've made to my method.
