The Vapor Thread

I am creating this thread for people who love vaping, vaporizers, and to discuss their favorites and least favorites and why.

I use to have the a Volcano (the original not the digital) but sold it because it is really only useful if you have people over a lot as it can get several people medicated with one balloon.

I sold the Volcano and decided to get a portable. I bought the Puffit when it first came out and was thoroughly disappointed as it had bad vape production and it had a plastic taste so I gave it away.

My next one was from a friend and it was the Magic Flight Launch Box (MFLB) and I liked it but it is a little tricky and the screen is fragile and it had no heat settings, I gifted this one to friend as well.

Finally I bought the Arizer Solo and I love it, it is a very solid unit and simple to use, has a glass stem which provides great flavor, quick heat up time, 7 heat settings, huge vape clouds, and as small as the bowl is I can get about 8 huge draws. You don't need to finely grind your herb, I use a space case grinder and it works perfect. I would say for being in the category for a portable it is more of a at home unit to replace your pipe and that is what I use it for. I haven't combusted herb in about two years now.

I have pre ordered the much anticipated portable vape pen called the Grasshopper. If you haven't seen or read a test review and you are a vaporizer fanatic you must see this unit!

I have also used the PAX, a couple of my friends have it and I like it a lot but you must stay up on maintaining it e.g. cleaning it or it will get really sticky and gunked up but don't let that deter you from getting one because it is a phenomenal unit.

Another friend of mine has the Crafty which he loves but I have not tried it as of yet.

I am interested in hearing about anyones experience with the PAX 2, it got good reviews and is a very sleek looking unit!

Magic flight launch box for me I like the fact it's portable, and I can take it with me to airports, malls, grocery stores, and what not but damnit left it at my homeboys house last night. This thread is a good one, Nice ;-)

Another Launch Box fan here. I used my mate's one and was impressed with the general feel of it. I also like the simplicity of it. Apart from physical damage there's not much to go wrong.
I ended up getting a knock off version made by Zoli which doesn't have the high build quality but basically work the same. They ship with cheap batteries and charger but once you upgrade them you get a nice little pocket piece.

I have had the Arizer Extreme Q for about 3 years now or something. Maybe longer. Still works great and the temp is very adjustable and the fan has 3 settings. There is a timer on it, but I never use it.

Basically I set the temp at 392 for dry weed and 401 if I am vaping newly cut nugs. Yep, it vapes nugs straight off the plant just fine. I drop the whole nug in there and eventually, once it's dried I bust it up in the bowl and stir it to get more puffs out of it. 5 or so minutes later, when I'm done, I just turn it off. Easy peasy.

I don't do the balloon. I only use the whip. I still combust too. The Q could probably be put in a bag and be portable but, I don't do that. I consider it table top.

Anyway, 3 years later still working like new. I rarely use the remote. I basically load the bowl. Turn it on. Adjust the temp(rarely) only if necessary. And wait on it to heat up. It heats up in probably between 1 to 2 minutes. And you are ready to go! The whip can rotate around the bowl, so if you are sharing it is very convenient.

Oh yeah. It's very cheap at around $150 or maybe even less. And comes with a whole lot more stuff including a potpourri bowl I didn't mention. I Have no desire to try another one. Joints are my portable.

Edit: it's an Arizer Extreme Q

I use a SSV as my daily driver. It's on all day. Whip vape with 120V is super solid.

For portables, I've been thru the first 2 generations of i-olite. Owned three altogether. Owned a completely toxic NO2. Went thru 3 Magic Flites. With the best batts / charger available. Not a dependable portable long term, for whatever reason. Even the 120V adapter shit its pants. All of these portable are not worth buying, IMHO. Again, IMHO.

I then bought a Pax. Game changer. The Pax 1 had issues, certainly, but the tech was great for such a small portable. Pain in the ass to clean and it kept cooking the flower. I have pre-ordered a Pax 2 after reading everything and watching videos. Smaller than the Pax 1 with hardly any parts. Doesn't keep cooking the bowl as much. Reviews are super solid.

I don't ever give a shit to attach a bubbler to a portable vape. What's the point. I'd entertain a bubbler on the SSV, however

You should look into the Crafty by Storz and Bickel, it on the expensive side but its the best rated portable on the market
