why is it so hard to believe that game balls certified and handed back would become tampered with?

it's impossible to lose 2 pounds on a ball, 11 out of 12 balls within the hour or two of certification unless leaky.

like going to proctored exam only to have proctor leave the room.:wall:

what ever happened to the good old days of "carnac the magnificent"?: "I hold in my hand the envelopes. As a child of four can plainly see, these envelopes have been hermetically sealed. They've been kept in a #2 mayonnaise jar on Funk and Wagnall's back porch since noon today. No one knows the contents of these envelopes, but you, in your borderline divine and mystical way, will ascertain the answers having never before seen the questions."

disqualify these cheaters, already!:finger:

Either way, it wouldn't have changed the outcome.

Like winning a baseball game 25-2, and then finding out the winning teams' bats were corked. You still gotta hit the fuckin ball.

I say if it makes them that much better, the new NFL mandate should say the balls need 11 psi. Like when the MLB juiced baseballs. Ha ha, kidding, they were just using a lot of drugs.

There should be two leagues for this pro baller stuff. One no performance enhancing drugs league, and one anything goes league. Same with racing, pull all the stops, how fast can they really go? What if we speed them up with a little meth? Go faster now? Rubbing is racing again, no throwing shit out your windows this time.....GO!

It's a weird situation. When the game was close in the first half, the balls were under inflated by at least 2psi.

In the second half, the balls were back up to snuff and the pats went on a 28-0 run.

With the history of the Pats and their cheating ways, I say throw the book at them. This post season hasn't been so much about football as it has been about controversy.

1. you don't know that, which is why there is a "standard" of 12.5 to 13.5. when you change the standard you automatically change dynamic.

2. i understand your analogy however misguided..one thing is certain..it gave pat brady the edge he likes..the edge to catch easier, no fumbles.

sorry a cheat is a cheat and the pats should be disqualified.

So what if the Pats like their footballs with a little less air in it? If it's easier to hold onto and handle? Just let everyone choose the PSI that works for them.

It's a stupid fucking rule. Change it.

It's a stupid controversy. Who cares? Too much whining going on in the US. The rule is just indicative of the silly pacification going on in this country.

Sounds like you're saying so what if they cheated....

And if you look at the sum of their history with Belicheat at the helm(spygate, using other radio frequencies to continue to talk to Brady after the 15 sec mark, jamming the other teams radios, now this) it's not just some stupid controversy. They have threatened the integrity of the league.

No I'm saying its a stupid fucking rule. If a slightly deflates ball enhances te fucking performance then why is it a stupid fucking rule? Let everybody do it.

Basic common sense. This rule is not like the restrictor plates in NASCAR. Because cars that fly might not only kill the drivers, but could get into the stands. It's not like a slightly deflated ball is any more dangerous than a fully inflated ball. I REPEAT.

ITS A STUPID FUCKING RULE! Kapeesh? Are we copacetic?

But that isnt even the suggested penalty which is a monetary fine.

I guess we have to make an example of everything. Why not just kick the whole team out of the league and shoot the coach on the center field line at dawn?

No we aren't.

It's a good rule. An under inflated ball( these were about 15% under inflated) helps you not fumble the ball, and they ran it a shit ton in inclement weather.

It's not a stupid rule. It's there to keep things fair. Too much air and you can kick the ball a mile. Too little and that ball will not be fumbled.

How about a little more civility. This isn't thunderdome.

The only reason to make an example here is because the Patriots have shown themselves to be cheaters over the years.

Edit: the minimum, minimum, is 25,000 bucks. They can do more. I hope they do. There is no room for repeat cheaters.

Oh the ball don't have enough air in it-WAAA. Sound like a buncha babies crying with that shit. Why not just throw grease on the fucking ball before every play HUH?

It's a stupid fucking rule for babies. That's my story and I'm fucking stickin to it.

So now the NFL are babies?

I wouldn't call the Ravens defense babies and they complained about it earlier this season.

It's cool. With your attitude, it seems like you may just be the baby.

Edit: are you ok with cheating in professional sports?
