Sorry I do not know If you can use a P.O. Box - I use a friends address which I temporarily changed my license to but once all my patients have their cards I might change my drivers license to the correct address, It is "mailing address" so this is not something which is forbidden so long as it is an adress at which you receive mail, I would not find it unusual if they do not accept a P.O. BOX because many state institutions do not accept P.O. box as a valid address unless they have absolutely no other option, it must be a privately owned residence, My suggestion is to call MDCH, hope that helps.

I work for the state (well contracted by them for medical services) and to do our documentation we must use the persons previous address as the 'Resident of' field if they give a P.O. BOX or other temporary address such as a shelter or group home.

one suggestion to you is use your parents/family address if they are okay with it and you have no friends that are okay with it or you would rather not tell them, at least they will not likely want something in return lol

Here's a couple questions I asked the mmmp... hope this clears something up for others and rzza for someone running around yelling at people for shelling out false info hahah just playin man thanks for your input.

Q: If a caregiver has multiple patients and the caregiver is moving, does each patient need to submit a change form stating the new caregivers address? or just one of the patients? I found it interesting that there is no 'Caregiver change form' similar to the patient change forms. Thank you for your time and I suggest you include the answer on the FAQ for others who are in a similar position and may be confused.

MMMP: Thank you for your inquiry. As the patient is the licensee, the change form is the responsibility of the licensee to submit. The caregiver must have each patient they are registered through our department submit a change form with their new address.

Q: I know the rules say patients need to have a physical address in the state of Michigan, does a P.O. box count as a physical location or must they use an address of residence? Can caregivers use P.O. Boxes legally for their address? Thank you again for your patience and time in clearing this up for me.

MMMP: PO Boxes are accepted at this time.

i just searched for my email from them back in january and its no longer available in aol but they said no to using a p.o box and it said something along the lines of if your homeless then you can ....and they went on to explain 'homeless options'.
and when i yell at people for shelling out false info, its usually because of the potential to get someone in trouble. heres an example ...

OP-can i legally grow outside here in michigan?

random poster-theres nothing that says we cant so feel free and happy growing! -free the weed

people really are stupid enough to just go on someones word from a forum.

what did I do post bad info?...never me.. I loath misinformer's!... lol the law states that you must have you plants in a enclosed locked facility, this as much of the rest of the MI MJ laws are vey grey..to me this means a 8' dog kennel completly enclosed and locked I would also probably just put somthing around the sides so rippers couldn't see inside of it..as for just growing in your backyard I would say thats a no, I also dont know If just a privacy fence would work because it's not fully enclosed I belive it would have to be covered from the top as well..

I will be having my lawyer look into the legality of this because if it's good enough just having a dog kennel I know half of my patients plants will be outdoors next year, My god if I could grow in full sunshine and not worry about size I'd be pulling 3-5lb a plant with maybe 12 plants or more!

a few more of these girls ;)

So I setup a 5gall DWC bucket system today - gunna try it out - coming from organic soil this should be interesting...For those 2 lazy to build one from scratch like me - It ended up costing me about 100$ for a 6 bucket system (high power pump, tubing, 5 gal buckets on sale at lowes 2.95, Net Pots, Hydrotron, Airstones) - It woulda cost me roughly the same to do 12 soil pots with rich organic soil so really not much of a price dif initially to be honest, and longterm it should actually save me money.

So here is my chance to try a few things new as I fire up this new system going to try the IONIC everyone raves about but even more interesting it will be IONIC for hardwater and I will use tap water instead of buying the jugs of RO like I do for soil - at least till I get a nice RO filter but thats still far in the future.

going to be really interesting to see the difference in yield, potency, flavor, speed because I will be running full organic soil side by side with chemical hydro..3600W

so I will do a growlog or something because its going to be a pretty controlled experiment here:

Fox Farms Organic w/ Organic Teas and Fox Farm BigBloom & Molasses

VS

Ionic nutes in DWC 5 gallons

Both will be NL#5 clones from same mother.

I'll watch that grow. I want to make my own DWC when I get some spare time.

Meeting Minutes PDF.
Press Release synopsis of minutes.

L. Brooks Patterson has sent out a request to all villages, townships, and counties to put a moratorium on new dispensaries. Also they are going to be doing surveys and investigations of the effects that marijuana dispensaries will have on the community. Looks like it will last at least 120 days. During that time no new licenses or permits will be issued to create dispensaries or sell marijuana. This wont affect caregivers and patients that work together and quietly, but dispensaries and grow operations should be on alert. I contacted the Oakland County Clerk about the issue. They gave me L. Brooks Patterson's mailing address and suggested I write to him. I want to offer it to you guys on the RIU forum so we can all write to him. The more people we can get that have knowledge and expertise in this field to write to Patterson the better. We need to convince the local government the best way to set up and distribute medical marijuana.
