Lol! damn growtosmoke! I believe that set up beat the card board box set ups! haha. Welcome to the group. Looks good by the way. I was gonna do that with the lights. The 2 Y splitters hooked up to use 3 lights in one but Im a little hesitant cause idk if itl'l be too much for the socket and all. How's it working out for you? I just dont want mine to spontaneously combust in my closet... That could be pretty bad

these are some awesome posts.slowly but surely im trying to creep away from my original ghetto ways, but at the same time i miss those days lol.my first grow, I vegged twelve plants under the fluorescent lights on my basement ceiling. I stacked milk crates up to the desired height and laid a board across them underneath the light.those were the days

Hahaha. That's similar to what I did with my first set up. Stacked books ontop a stool ontop a table i jacked from the attic. Cant escape the good old ghetto days my friend! No matter how good your set ups get in the future. Youll always stay ghetto :bigjoint:

yeah its remodeled. Its now in a cupboard thing in my room. I stapled the lights to the the ceiling and ripped the reflectors off so its just the lights, to both reduce the heat and add the Y splitters. Its not as ghetto as before but it didn't cost me anything more, Just time to clear out the closet. I just needed to up the efficiency of my grow area. Dont worry dude. Im still here. Ghetto for life! haha

If it weren't for my ghetto roots I wouldn't be where I'm at today. Still kinda ghetto, but cleaning things up a bit. All this DIY, quick thinking, and problem solving prepares you to be a better grower I'd say. Pro-Growers with full on room operations, if they didn't start here I can't imagine what they do when a plant grows out of control other than chopping it down. Which should NEVER be an option!

Mar props to all my ghetto growers out there. Keep doing what you do!

The multi y splitters work fine. I have had not a single problem with them. I use 100w clamp lights and talking to a electrictian on this site he has told me that I can set the fixture to the max wattage so with a 100w fixture I can run 4x23w bulbs. :) :bigjoint:

Yeah a bomb did go off in the lighting dept huh? I do get everything from home depot or lowes. Works out well. I probably have enough invested that I could have bought at least one of the large lights but WTF stick with what you know I guess! It would be nice to be crowned the ghetto grow KING!! lol

The table lamps were clutch hahahaha but i'm not so sure that my fiancee thought they were great.....stole them right out5 of the living room and screwed them to the wall lol
