I have been, and my leaves are very dark, almost black. Since then I've just been doing half the recommended concentration. PH and TDS are in the correct ranges in runoff.

i would not worry about runoff, just make sure your numbers are good going into the container.
At least that is what I have found.

New here - so just jumping on... Growing in 60/40 Coca/Pebbles in 20L plain pots - feeding every other day with 1.5L of nutrients per pot with about 0.25L runoff. Feeding A/B at 4ml/L currently and just set flower so will introduce CANNABOOST in tonights feed - instructions from Canna below.
Has anyone got experience of CANNABOOST - does the 1:250 ration actually make a difference over the 1:500?

Hey coco growers this is my first grow in coco and looking forward to it I will be using CANNA coco product line I'm trying to get some basic info to help get my grow started out right I have been doing my research and talking to my LHS im basically trying to KISS this first grow here's a few questions and I'm sure there will be more
What I will be using medium/mix
- canna coco coir 50l bag and perlite mix about 70% coco 30% perlite (few questions)
Is that the correct mix ratio to use? Also should I rinse mix to get dust/dirt/ and build up
out and add calmag as directed?( I will be using rodi water due to I have well water
Ph and ppm are too high in tap water the ph on rodi water is 5.5ph n ec/ppm0) when
rinsing out should I use plain rodi water just to get build up and debris out? when
rinsed do I add calmag/nutes and flush till ec/ppm and ph are at desired amount and
match what is going and run off?
Any other tips, info,nutes or steps I am going to need will be great this post is just to get my pots ready to add seedlings after germination will be starting out in solo cups then going to 3G fabric pots ( or would normal plastic be better for drainage?) I will be following the canna grow calculator for a guideline and adjust as needed

I am getting my Canna Coco ready to use, do I need to charge it before use and what is a good method/products to use for charging if needed?
If not, do I just start by using ph 5.8 water with no nutes or just light nutes?

Got seeds in germ now so I am ready to do whatever to the Canna so I can plant.

No need to charge the coco. I use half the recommended dosage from the Canna chart at 5.8 PH and have had good results after my initial disaster using Canna with incorrect concentration (overdose).
Others will recommend the full concentration. I made the mistake of going full concentration on my first Canna grow and had N overdose problems. A lot of it is strain dependent. Some strains will tolerate a lot of abuse, others will not. Canna wants you to blow money on their products so it's not a far stretch to assume their feeding schedules are based around this goal. Use half dosage, and if you see deficiencies, your strain may be a heavy feeder, then bump it up a bit.

Your starting tap waters EC or Total Dissolved Solids (based on a scale measured in parts million - its not hard to measure nor understand...trust me) will determine whether you need to add or take out (through reverse osmosis filters) the minerals already in the tap water....especially in coco coir grows. You need a pH and EC meter. And if your tap is between 0.2 and 0.4 EC then its safe to assume (but not always- just got to try it) that its got calcium magnesium amd iron already present and you need no further adjustment (as a general rule....all grows are different). If your tap is really high...like 0.5 or more...you likely need reverse osmosis filters to bring it down to the sweet spot of 0.2 - 0.4. If its below 0.2 (which is unlikely) then the use of a calmag supplement could be needed. Many many growers are using expensive R.O. filters when they dont need them...and vice versa.

Sorry for multiple post but i want to help. Every Canna Coco Nutrient grow ive ever done needed no more than 10 ml (2 tsp) of each "A" & "B". Ot puts me in the sweet spot of 1.5 EC (750 ppm) using a starting tap water of 0.3 EC (150 ppm). The use of calmag is not needed with Canna coco nutrient if your tap is in line.

Cannas nutrient calculator is not in reality for most growers. Its a perfect schedule really if your growroom is super on point with perfect light...temp...humidity...and co2 levels. Most charts from nute companies dont take in the fact that alot of growers dont have perfect conditions to justify such high nutrient concentrations. Seal up your growroom proper. Use double ended lamps...mini split ac and commercial dehueys like a santa fe...and grow out heavy demanding strains and more than likely EC levels of 1.8 - 2.4 or higher is right for that situation. Most growers dont have the kind of cash it takes to buy the equipment nor run it in electricity monthly to have a super charged high performance grow room. You would be amazed at what commercial greenhouse veggie growers feed concentrations are at. They are high. Really high.

I do use ppm and pH meters, my tap water sucks, almost does not meet US water standards, 780 ppm I rinse my beard and my GF rinses her hair with rain water, and let it spill over out bodies to get some of the salt from the tap off after shower. Have been using bottled RO but am going to need to get a unit for under the sink. Any suggestions on a make and model? Most use 4 to 5 gallons to get one gallon of RO water the rest goes to waste. Have found one model that uses 2 to make 1 so that may work.
I am not running Canna A&B this run, I have a gallon each of FloraMicro and FloraBloom so will use that up before I buy Canna nutes. I am either using Blumats or drip, leaning towards the Blumats. I plan on the old adage of less is more on the nutes so I will be running the nutes at around 5 to 600 ppm with a pH of 5.8 to 6.0.
I have been using H3ads formula for coco, 6ml Micro and 9ml Bloom but have found it to strong and have reduced it to 4 ml Micro and 6 bloom with 1 tsp Epsom Salts. Have also added 2 ml Cal/Mag.

Nkce setup. I dont use ro filters but my cousin has a hydro logic and she likes it. Her water is ridiculous. Not as bad as yours (WOW) but in the 500 ppm range there abouts. Can you imagine all the non grower people out there that have never heard of a tds meter and think their tap water is fine? With water that high makes me wonder just what fuk all is in that crap? Damn thats bad water. 780 ppm is nutrient solution strength!!! I do believe anything over 500 gets the EPA involved. You should look into it bro. Serious.

Yea, the state requirement is under 1,000 ppm, so not quite there.
My GF used to drink it until I realized she was doing so, got her off that right away.
She says her hair feels real funky when she washes it without rinsing with rain water.
Something else I am going to try this grow is Blumats, if you not heard of them they are a water as needed system, heard good things and no bad things about them.
My power is so questionable I worry about going with a pumped drip system, if I lose power my timers will be all off. With this system I just have to worry about keeping the rez filled. I like that, I am a lazy grower, LOL

iam a lazy one too. Went to an open tube drip withe adjustable barbed quarter inch valves instead of drippers awhile back. Always tinkering with manifolds in between crops. I will never handwater or water wand again except for certain applications. Anyways...yeah. Iam lazy as fuk but try not to be. Anything i can automate i will. Kinda like this pile of chem4 in front of my gal rite now. She keeps giving me the evil eye cuz i wont help. Acting like what iam typing is all important. She knows better. She also knows i hate trimming with a passion. Lol.

Well I designed my Blumat layout, ordered the parts and got them today. Also picked up my tent, light, vertical cord, fan speed controller and got some 4" ducting. Four hours later, I have my closet disassembled and the tent installed. Enough for today!

Got that done and lined the floor with plastic.
