The Main-Lining Thread

Thanks Nugbucket!

Question to all mainlining veterans - If you accidentally snapped a branch at the 3rd topping could you get away with removing 4 of the initial 8 branches including the broken one and topping further up those remaining 4 branches instead to give 8 tops again? (see attached pic)

Yup! I allow for extra nodes at each step to allow for more foliage during veg. It works great (better than not doing this). It will be amazing - looking good!

Dex, what was your weight?
Forgot about that mate, been smoking through the crop like there's no tomorrow lol :D

It was just shy of 200g bone dry premium quality bud after 5 days hung in dark vented tent and a week in glass jars..

Some bud porn..

..and a smoke report :D

It's very easy on the lungs and smells strong and heavy..

One has a sweet blueberry aftertaste and has a heavy couchlock stone and the other is more fresh and citrusy and a great daily smoke with a nice head buzz that lasts for about an hour..

Popped some new beens the other day..

Juicy Fruit
Cotton Candy
Green Crack
White Rhino
Original Cheese
Magnum Auto

So I'll see you again soon ;)

All done now :)

Did it snap right off ? if not tape it, leave it and it'll fix itself :)

Quick question for everyone mainlining. Once you have your new mains tied to the ring, how many of you just let it free grow vs trimming off any side branching? I know this is probably more strain specific on which you would do this for, but curious to see what others are doing. Right now I have an Indica dom that I don't have to worry about as it's just growing as big main colas with minimal side branching, but I also have a Sativa dom that has just gone nuts. I've let it grow out for now, but kept meaning to ask this in here.

I left two side branches down from the main colas and just let them do their thing, ended up creating an even canopy about 10 inches below the main colas. I just look at it as more bud to smoke, but it's also with my sour g strain which is sativa dominant with a longer flowering period

Turned out I was correct in thinking that and I have 8 main colas albeit with an additional step in the building process.

Just wanted to show off my first mainline, just flipped it to flower about 8days ago, and she is covered with little white hairs. this is my 3rd grow, so I'm still pretty new to this.

The strain is Nirvana Medusa from fem seed, 7gal smartpot with GO nutes. was slow going at first, I wasn't PHing my nutes, since I had read it didn't matter with GO, and my tap water ph increased over the last year by a full point. now I throw in a few drops of ph down and she is a bit more vigorous in her growth.

Did the last run on medusa as well, and they took 12 weeks to finish, so hoping that the mainline might speed up the process.

Looks good, but mainlining will not speed up the process. If anything it adds time to the mix

Ok I have a question, if it adds time to the grow then why do you guys do it? It's pretty, height control, what?
Just a little off the wall poll!
