And that's that! Now for some results:

- Sleestack -
Main Cola (wet) - 11g
Side Colas (wet) - 17g
Popcorn Buds (wet) - 13g
Total Wet Bud - 41g

Fan leafs - 7g
Trim - 8g

- Devil's Weed -
Total (wet) - 19g
Seeds - 68

Total Waste (brown, burned and hermy parts) - 5g

All in all I feel it was a successful grow. I wish the Devil's Weed hadn't hermied on me... that way I'd have double the buds! MAN I CAN'T WAIT TO START A NEW RUN! haha

Everything is hanging and spread to dry out. I'll try and make a smoke report in about 2 to 4 weeks. I'll also try to let it cure a bit before smoking, but I don't know if I'll be able to hold back the urge. haha

Closing thoughts:
In marijuana growing there are LOADS of variables that make for a more prosperous and smooth ride or for a total disaster, but even with that being true, there are a few main ones that matter more and that will give you a bigger control with smaller effort. Here's some important thoughts I took from my experience so far.
-Be patient. Learn to read the plant on it's own rhythm. If you get jumpy at the first sight of something different on the plant you might overreact and end up harming it permanently. This also aplies to plant development speed. Don't get irritated with slow growth, and don't even think about trying to find miracle ways to speed plant growth. Plants grow best with the best environment and energy supply, but don't forget that genes play a big part in the equation. Maybe it's just slow. And maybe it'll pick up later. Give it your best, and it'll give it back to you.

-Choose great genetics. I now am one to speak of this. I've been trying and pushing the Devil's Weed strain on my grows because I feel like it's my duty to defend a strain that comes from my home place. The problem is I've been using random seeds with no quality control, and I don't have a big enough setup to be doing that. If I could plant 10 or 20 plants and choose the best phenotypes I could be "sharpening" my strain. But doing one at a time, like I was, is not a great idea because the probability of having bad genes or bad phenos are too great for me to handle. In the future I shall have better conditions, and maybe one day I'll stabilize the strain and make it great. Not now. If you choose some great strains early on, especially recommended for your growing situation I assure you that you'll have way more fun and way more results way faster.

-Study lots and be curious. Go out and look for yourself. Forums are great because people get to see and share experiences and knowledge. But keep in mind that forums (and everything else, for that matter) are composed of mostly amateurs who are also learning and may pass on faulty information. First search books, for these have been tested and proved by a greater audience of critics.

-Pots. Pots are one of the most important factors in controlling plant size. Go out and find grows that feature your strain and check what size pots those guys are using. Chances are your plants will end up just about the same. Also, keep in mind the pot width and not so much the pot volume. I know it sounds weird but bare with me. Wide pots will make great and bushy plants because the roots strech to the sides and provide the whole structure with a more firm grab. Narrower pots will have deeper roots instead of wide, so plants tend to grow taller instead of bushier. In resume, two pots of the same volume will yield different sized plants if their shape is different.

I had lot's more to talk about, but I see I'm getting long here. I apologize! haha

Any question, fire away.

I'll be germinating a C99 and a Blue OG beans very soon! So expect a new grow log soon!

Thank you!

Drying is going nicely. Can't wait to taste it.

Also, the Sleestack has some beautiful looking seeds in it! Can't wait to pick them out! =)

I'm germinating 1 x c99 and 1 x Blue OG right now.

SO I'm planning on keeping them under a blue cfl for about a week on 24 cycle. After that I'll call it the start of the new project =)

The c99 and the Blue OG died in a freak accident... Don't wanna talk about it. I was heartbroken.

Germinated another c99. And also germinated a Blueberry. They are healthy looking and sprouting their second set of serrated leafs.

Installed a new cooltube, and set up my MH lamp. It's still pretty hot in the box though... I may need to get a better hang of my temperature control methods...

Also, I've smoked some of the Sleestack that's in curing. And MAN! that shit's amazing! Not to brag, but I was delightfully surprised!
I love heady highs, and the strain info did say to expect some psychedelic effects, but I didn't expect it to be such a fun high!

The smell of it is very sweet, but not very fruity. And when ground it just bursts with smell in a large area from the source.
The flush was mostly well done, but the ashes are still a little gray for my liking, I expect them to become clearer as the product cures.

As for the smoke, very very VERY smooth tokes, with a pretty interesting taste, not like fruit, but sweet in a fruity way. I don't know it's hard to explain.

And then the high itself... Slow hitting, but massive! I'm so sad I didn't grow the sleestack in the 3 gallon pot I had. That way I'd have over 5 times more bud! xD
Anyway, the high just crept in, slightly unnoticeable at first. Then a face stretch. Smile muscles getting tugged, ever so slightly. Then pressure all around the eyes in a compressive manner.
Then the dive. An unnoticeable switch from reality, and when you realize it, it's sort of hard to keep a conscious line of thought from being run over by the speeding of the high mind.
Food became amazing in a way that when I had eaten everything in my plate, I didn't remember anything. That's how good it felt. In such a magnitude that my brain couldn't even hold it anymore.
After that settled down, I rolled another one and played Assassin's Creed all night. I was the character. In a way I haven't experienced before. I'm hooked! haha, I wanna go play again all day today!

All in all, I just want to say that I'm freakin' happy with my first "real" harvest! And I'm delightful that I was able to make 48 heavy, dark and healthy Devil x Sleestack seeds! (If they turn out awesome as this one, I'll call them Devilstack, ahaha) Now let's just hope they are mostly strong and plentiful girls!

As of rating, I'll give it a 7/10. I've not smoked many top-top-top shelf buds, but this one really smokes like one. I treated it like one, so I'd expect it to be good quality. Anyway it get's a 7/10 because I'm still in love with a Moby Dick strain I smoked a few years ago. haha

Thanks guys! And until next time, have a great one!

I was sorry to hear of the borg-rushed harvest Jad, but this happens, and it is
very possible to carry on without issue.

Enjoy the smoke you got. I would like to try sleestack some time, as I hear
it is a strong-flavor breed.

Good luck,

JD

That was a very detailed report. Mine are more like... "it smelled good, it tasted good" lol. j.k.

I am a huge fan of the cerebral high's. With the Skywalker I get very confused though. If I smoke to much I can lose my cell phone while talking on it.

hahaha! I get confused alot also, but I'm starting to gain more mental auto-stabilization from practice. Sort of like a very high meditation haha

And yeah Javadog, this smoke is extremely fragrant and flavourful. I'm very excited about it. I'm proud of it.

Also, if you do get the opportunity to grow it out, do so. It's very resilient, and I'm sure that in a 3 gallon pot you'll get awesome amounts of sweet tasting bud!

Also, Dabolili, the WWxAmnesia is up next after this grow. I was planning to run it instead of the Blueberry, but I wanted to balance the sativa side of the c99 with some nice indica, so I went with the BB for now.
But I am extremely curious to see what WWxAmnesia can bring to the table! =)

My next grow is already under-way. I've got 4 day old seedlings and my new cooltube setting with a MH up and running. =)

I'll probably start a new grow journal today, and post the link here. =)
