The Great Debate.

thought this deserved it's own thread-

copied from https://www.rollitup.org/michigan-patients/446375-feds-changing-their-minds-july.html

the truth IS sad-

and alot are hurt. this thread EXEMPLIFIES medical marijuana in michigan right now. lots of medium meds(ever took two hits and almost fall over?). lots of HIGH prices. lots of ME, ME, ME. lots of shops with retards selling every dumbass thing they read about next on the web, and handing out info to match.
people are so stuck on it their gardens are suffering.

the good thing is, EVERY day another skeptical person sees the results first hand. i was in the gas station the other day, and a few were conversing over it. i offhandedly mentioned simpson oil and the old farm gal in the back of line steps up and says "it's true, it's true. my mom had a spot on her face that was cancer. some hippy ribbed this simpson stuff on it and it fell right off!

we need to stay true to the movement even if it means NOT being a millionaire. most weren't gonna be anyway. but be being fairly involved, attributes a great deal society wise.

regular people can see everything that's going on. if they aren't directly related to the issue, they tend to read into news articles saying that 70% of patients in MI are white males 30 or younger
, and that this is just LEGAL drug dealing! or whatever it was but thats close. imagine if we could show 63% of people that what their doctor is doing is the real crime and that cannabis is a miracle cure, what would the feds do? 63% of people using cannabis as a general remedy.

they would certainly ahve their hands full.

as long as we keep it a cottage industry, it will prove solid income for the majority involved. it also won't be the fuck fest goin on right now, you can bet your ass the feds are watchin THAT. they want in on the money. let s keep it lo-pro for a minute. call it camoflage if you will. that cottage industry mentality has been a mainstay in michigan for along time, and a revival would rejuvenate our state. remember all the little cottages along 23, 33, 65, and others. imagine if they were all little cannabis vineyards, with their own strains and flavors. fall cannabis tours would be all the rage!

also. another thing that is bound to happen, is that with every guy that doesn't have a job any more, growing, the supply is about too go through the roof. what happens to 500 dollar ounces when that happens? every fucking patient there is has 6 ounces on hand of fine smoke. what's it worth?

i think there is a real world example we in MI can look too. any cali growers and/or smokers out there? FDD?, SUB?. what are wholesale/retail prices for TOP shelf meds right now in your area?

another thing i think alot of folks are missing is the opportunity to mimic cali and their mentality of treating cannabis as a regional gourmet produce, similar to wine.
in MI we have geographical conditions that are as unique and worthy as those in any other fine cannabis growing region. we should be working together to realize that potential and to make cannabis mainstream.

happy growing!

good man-

let the discussion begin.

i've been thinking about this for a minute now. the attention that all the newb drug dealers are generating is unneeded at least. the most is that we are going to be held back as a species. the fact that cannabis has had a pivotal role in the development of our modern world. it has always been indispensable, and continues to be. all this immaturity will be our ruin, and proof to the nay-sayers us kiddies didn't deserve a pool anyway.

there are serious moral, ethical, and philosophical issues at hand on either side.

be open and honest. i would like to start discussing the end game together. you can bet your ass your government is.

not many have-

most shit at the store isn't even close. the shit in their jars i don't even sell, let alone give to patients! tiny little buds, that smell like old beer when you open the jar. lol

i guess either my argument is bullet proof, or completely ridiculous.
i used to love arguing. now i can't hardly use the stairs. soon there will be no arguments for me.
it has given me tremendous insight.

thanks guys-

just re met an old acquaintance of mine. turns out he's got terrible parkinson's. anyone think some oil would help him out? i do.

what should i charge him. i bet once he finds out how well it will help his disorder he would gladly pay 50 an eighth. i throw the soil and worm poop in for free.:)

Well, I support you, I hear some of what this Soma guy is saying, but he is a complete meat-head who got lucky getting rich because somebody else knows how to advertise his seeds he grew. . . in the video he is just on a rant, he doesn't even know what he's talking about for goodness sake. . . repeating what he has heard other people say and what he's discussed in passed conversations when he was high. . . Look kids. . . look what can happen when you devote the entirety of your everyday to smoking pot and nothing more! . . . . . . a prophet!!! LOL

Anyways, I am all with you, how did I start?
Well, I am working on constantly becoming more and more educated on the LEGAL STRUGGLE and the perspectives which are actually existent in the courts of today, because this is where the first changes will ever take place, not at a hippy movement of blowing smoke and singing "koombaya". . .
Secondly, I became educated as to what grounds people can legally acquire their own medical license, because most anybody can, so long as you are actually legitimately ill in some form or another, be it mentally or physically. . .
Thirdly, I made a difference in myself not to sit here and kick and scream because I don't like something, but to study it, and to pursue a real solution to the focus of the problem. . . Although I am still young, and haven't yet myself come to understand a complete solution as of present to bring to government, I know one day, if I believe in it, and keep working towards it, anything is possible. . .

You sound level-headed... But what can you offer to Michigan, Mr. Ontario? :P

that's great-

soma is a great teacher to some. his style won't reach you but will others. profit from your endeavor is no judge of its worth.

i am interested in all opinions. common sense dictates the market will stabilize. probably somewhere right around where cali or colorado is at.
i'm just trying to an advocate for mainstream-ity. if cannabis is cheap and plentiful, many will be exposed to it. and many will be helped.

and the feds will be fucked.

Ahhhh, touche, you see now I understand where you are coming from and I entirely agree with this aspect. I simply needed a little more clarification on the matter =]. . . and also, my apologies if I did offend anybody out there, as this was most certainly not my intentions; one's methods and practice are not for me to judge, to say the least, and I will be sure to keep such judgments out of future conversation. =]

We are already in the time where more and more people are becoming exposed to it, it is simply a matter of time and progress. . . push for education not prohibition. . . humans are more than intelligent enough to understand the consequences of their actions, and thus to choose what they wish to expose their bodies to. . . heck, we get exposed to worse chemicals in the workplace, despite pollution laws, etc. . . to a certain degree of course, you know what I mean?

I have the ability to overgrow, the ability to have a medical hash bash, have the ability to give, I am too in need of direction, not once have I thought otherwise. I am still looking for something, but do not know what besides food banks and help for the homeless.
