3/6 have already broken soil! 4 days after going into the glass of water! This is my first real dive into LED's. I have two POS mars panels that work but after reading into it, I am excited to try out this 288v2rspec by HLG.
so from what I understand my lux is at a little more than 10,000. Is this a good number for my babies with these types of lights? I have them like 3 feet away and dimmed down. If anyone can point me in the right direction on how to use my lux meter and how to dim/ set my height of my light I'd appreciate it! It has a heat sync and dimmable driver

this chamber I built is intended for micro growing and cloning / mothering whatever and I cant fit 6 plants in there as its less than 20" x 20". I could take the 288 out and move It but that will be too much work so perhaps I will take one or so of these plants and run it in that chamber by itself for this competition and compare that to my 2 mars fixtures in my 2x4 tent with the rest of them.
I also have a 5x5 so...
I don't know if I have the money to invest in more of these QB 288 v2's so I may end up doing a mix of HPS , fluoro's, and LEDS in the 5x5

The plants are east coast stardawg feminized seeds. My first try with greenpoints gear I've heard alot of bad and good things so i'm going to see for myself

Do i need to get a Kil-A-watt? I have one somewhere but my legs all fked up and its hard for me to go through all these bins i have crap tucked away in lol

I don't have a kill a watt either, but I'm down to one Hlg 100v2 and a 100 watt blurple. My big light died.

So i went ahead and used orca film to line my hobby chamber and added a circulation fan. Now all thats left is adding an air deflector or two and adding a legit drain pan.
I had checked the lux beforehand, it was at around 8000. after lining it went down to 6000
I have dialed it down to 5000 lux and the light is about 3' away from the seedlings

perhaps it is reflecting light differently now or something but that seems a bit odd
the only thing I can think of is, that its the tape that I used wasnt actually orca tape so perhaps its absorbing a bunch of light.

Regardless, the orca liner feels really nice and I am happy I will now have a cleanable chamber

On a further note, when I was putting things back in I noticed a slug on one of my little seedlings!
I tried to carefully grab the slug but half the seedling came with it.. Oh well lesson learned don't leave soil outside in a bag keep it inside and dry..
Soo i put down some sluggo-plus in the damp drain tray and am going to be closely monitoring the soil for new activity. I am thinking of putting little copper rings around the plant lol but they're so tiny I have already found a second slug ... yikes

I don't have a light for my 2x2x3 or I would enter... That's the only tent that doesn't have anything going in it... Have fun guys and girls(if there are any)!!! Im in the audience for this one!!!

Alright here she is, maybe the most ghetto thing ive done so far! My plan is going to be; 12-12 from seed, 16 watts of 2700k, miracle gro soil, 1 gallon pot. My prediction is I either don’t make it to harvest or if I do 5 Grams dry.

I’ve figured out @ 16watts for 14 weeks (assumption) should run me approximately $2.44 in hydro lol. If I get one gram I'm one happy man!

Wish i could plug the kil a watt into the sun, lol. Still 4 weeks away ftom being able to start a new run but i got 2 himilayan gold seedlings popped and 1 cackleberry, maybe 2 weeks old under 9w led , does that count? Lol
I think the window stays open until Oct 1. So you can totally get in on it?

update! seedlings stretched a bit too much cause of lack of fan+light. Will be potting them down in a week or so into some 5-gallon or 20-gallon pots. Also just ordered more pots so I might pop some more seeds. Light is about 2' away and the plants are recieving about 11-12k lux

Come on fellas lets get this shit moving! Kil-a-watt meter is working cool too so far over the week or two its only used like 6$ worth of energy
