I'm a new member and only on my first grow but have researched this a bit and talked about it in a botany class. It is a fact the plants respond to music and help them grow but it's not really responding to the music itself, it's actually just responding to the slight vibration that sound gives off. It was just a general education class so I'm not a expert at all but any sound that your plants recieve should be beneficial. So what ever genre you like will be good.

i have read for many hours about plants and music . the best music for plants is proven to be country proven by scientists second classical . heavy metal or death metal is proven to kill plants . these are not my finding. scientists ok i had to fuck around with music to see if it made any difference at all . it made zero difference in my room . i think it did not because when you have so many fans running 24/7 its loud and plants were not able to benefit from it . my opinion .

Saw a company a few years ago produce a large machine with two blades(dna helix shape I think spinning in opposite directions which cause some sort of sonic micro vibrations for commercial uses in greenhouses. But I can't find it now to show everyone here. :(

I actually heard almost the opposite. The music with the most bpm are actually the best, so heavy metal and Edm are said to be the best. I think mythbusters did something on it. But, everything I read is that the results are very minimal but are enough to be technically fact.
