Most importantly is that HLG will replace and stand behind their products whether shipping issue or other. Let’s see if wangs house of led will “ gladly “ accept returns ( at whatever the ship rate is going back to them ) in mainland China. Also see many stories from buyers having sellers arguing the authenticity and performance of their product .... your $10 buck savings just vaporized.

Any fool should know that whatever “ price savings “ you get is often connected to a “ corner cutting move “ in fit and finish. Vf differences , wonky solder masking , general quality overall.

HLG consistently “ adds “ new product offerings , liquidating the earlier boards and kits .
To hell with that flea market bazaar setting on alibaba. My money is spent on the company that stands behind their products , from user feedback , and customer service.

Buying “ trinkets “ from pop up store / vendors will always be a gamble. There are literally dozens of these bullshit led “ storefronts “ on alibaba that have the same pics , the same board “ descriptions “ as each other ....... clones of clones of clones.

HLG makes this one product .... and is perfecting it every time they bring it up for purchase. They test , post results on their gear.

How much is that worth to you ?

You would be looking at $400, no free freight freight would probably be about $50. For that extra $50 you are going to get much better spread across the canopy. You will also be sure to get a genuine product. You will also get a warranty. A few hanging hooks is all that required and they are cheap anyway. Overall you would have got a far better system buying the genuine product

Emerald you really need to go to China, make it a life goal because you don't have a clue what China is like, once you have gone there then report back here and tell me if you have the same confidence you do now.

That's all fine and dandy. But at the end of the day, you're not saving $10. That's BS.

I lived 7 years of my life in Asia. I'm fully aware of Chinese business, but not everything from China is bullshit. Do you think rig companies would be building oil rigs in China if that was the case?

Are rigging companies on alibaba trying to sell $400 board kits with free freight? No they are not. The companies you deal with on alibaba are not professional companies they are just some clowns that buy a few parts so they can copy anything they see and do it cheaper of course because China can always do it cheaper.

You're comparing apples to oranges... Why don't you lay out the math here so we can compare?
That light you posted above looks like a blatant copy of what a USA co designed, builds and sells, the co that have been employing a copy-write lawyer lately.

1. 4pcs high efficient lm301b 288 board
2. 1pc heatsink 660x490x4mm (the same as horticulture)

the same as horticulture?

horticulture?

That's the point here. Value for money. Most PCB boards on earth are manufactured in China. So are the diodes that must be shipped back from Korea to weld on their boards, by machine. The design isn't patented, so I don't really see any grave infringement. Try getting a patent for putting diodes on a pcb! Good luck.

Samsung was doing it before HLG on strips. LED on PCB was around before HLG even thought about the idea.

I wanted something to replace my cheap amazon blurples but I didn't want to go with HID lights and HLG fixtures were too expensive. When I researched it Meijiu seemed like a good choice. If I get it and it's broken I'll let you know but I don't see where I went wrong by going with the cheaper choice when they are virtually the same. Teknik no offense but you seem like a hater.

I am definitely a hater of copy companies in China that are a pack of thieves, that is absolutely 100% correct.
