oh here we go..can't you just read a thread just once?

bergdahl. he is mentally ill.
I read that he got kicked out of his first 'gig'. How does that qualify as mentally ill? When Bergdahl came back from Afganistan he returned to a job in the military. How did they allow someone who is mentally ill to resume his duties?

What medical profile or records have you read that told you Bergdahl is mentally ill? All I read was your opinion based upon unsubstantiated rumor.

I contend he is not mentally ill, he is an idealistic idiot that does not have a very strong grip of reality nor responsibility.

And even so, does he get some sort of crazy pass?? oh, he is crazy, no worries Bergdahl, live long and prosper.... Huh?

When you factor in that good men died looking for him I'd say he should be shot if convicted. You don't desert. There is no excuse for desertion especially in a combat zone.

What if the person issuing you orders tells you to kill women and children? Should you desert or follow orders and shoot them?

I see conflicting news reports.
Unless I miss my guess, some of the media outlets have jumped the gun.
I don't believe he's been officially charged with anything as yet.

the guy was mentally unbalanced which is why he got kicked out of the first gig.

shame on the army for passing him through with flying colors..not only did the army put this man in harms way as a result of illness, others lost their life as well.

if i were one of those soldiers next of kin..i would bring suit against the army for doing just that.

in a combat situation, as every soldier knows..you rely on your team mate..to put a mentally ill troop in battle? shame on you army, shame on you!:finger:
You should have seen it in Vietnam when we had the draft!..lolo_O

you, you, you.

you contend..why don't you google like everyone else?

he was kicked loose because of his mental status..his parents knew..his mental issues are well documented.

I killed women & children in Vietnam, but not because I was ordered .....they were shooting at me.o_O

I appreciate the conflict that some people experience during and after being in a war zone. Not trying to harsh on you, but if the USA hadn't been there in the first place trying to run other peoples lives you wouldn't have been there either.

If an invading army was trying to occupy the USA I wouldn't be surprised if some women and children attempted to defend themselves.
Peace.

Isn't it funny how the definition of mental issues is a matter of perspective?

I heard there was this guy, Obama, I think is his name....He won a nobel Peace prize, yet he shrugged off torture by saying, "we tortured some folks" and he loves to approve drones strikes, knowing full well that most of the people harmed by them are innocent people. Yes....mental issues....you were saying?

I guess that shows one of the problems when a coercive government assumes they can speak for everyone. Apparently some of the people didn't get the memo that the USA had a reservation for dinner.

It almost sounds like some of them were "inviting" the USA to go home.

why do you like to wallow in misery?

the object as a leader is to acknowledge and move on.

haven't you ever worked for a large corporation in your life; read a book on leadership?

i recommend: the 21 irrefutable laws of leadership by john c maxwell..follow them and people with follow you.
