Uh huh.
Please blather on
You asked a question and I answered it. I have no interest in blathering.

Would you like to bet that you are right and Obama will not pardon Bergdahl at the end of his term or before?

Because I am 99% sure that Obama is going to pardon him as one of those last acts the president always does.

Yep, Obama definitely fucked this one up too. Had the Bergdahl family at the White House schmoozing so it's kind of hard now to court martial him and send his ass to prison. Obama was treating the guy like he was a hero when in reality he should be shot if convicted. You don't buddy fuck the people in the fight that are protecting your sorry ass even if you're a coward. Fuck Bowe Bergdahl.

This brings up many interesting questions.

Should Bergdahl get time served counted as a prisoner? Should he get a pardon due to hardship? What sentence should he get through the US military?

He should get shot.
But if I was to guess. I would say 20 years.

A hardship or leniency for desertion? What? He wanted to join the Taliban so why would we even consider factoring his captivity into the equation? That's some "everybody gets a trophy" train of thought right there.

When you factor in that good men died looking for him I'd say he should be shot if convicted. You don't desert. There is no excuse for desertion especially in a combat zone.

the guy was mentally unbalanced which is why he got kicked out of the first gig.

shame on the army for passing him through with flying colors..not only did the army put this man in harms way as a result of illness, others lost their life as well.

if i were one of those soldiers next of kin..i would bring suit against the army for doing just that.

in a combat situation, as every soldier knows..you rely on your team mate..to put a mentally ill troop in battle? shame on you army, shame on you!:finger:

I'm a firm believer in personal responsibility so that argument gets no traction with me. Do your time then get out. Don't make commitments if you don't have enough shit in your pants to back it up. Don't be a buddy fucker. etc..........

i believe in personal responsibility in the most major way, we are all responsible for ourselves and the choices we make..mental illness is a disqualifier though.
