Iv only been to Paris in 2004 nearly got stabbed and bottled while police are watching and laughing lol never left the hotel.

I wouldn't worry about that at all! To me the only difference from my standpoint is that Canadians can live and work here in EU much easier than Americans. If you are doing a street barter deal with some sellers then say Canadian if they ask you. They have a $rich mentality perhaps. Apart from that you'll be fine.
