I made one of these bad boys and every single cutting I put in rooted. I had one cutting that was retarded and took like 2 or 3 weeks to root. Other then that all the rest rooted in a week or less.:weed::clap:

I am using one of these that I built. I did have a question though, what is the purpose to cutting the stem. I did not do that to my plants and I have not seen any roots yet. I have 8 plants in there over a week and have seen no roots yet. Temp is 75 and humidity is 80%.

i beleive that by cutting the stem alittle will help it to root a little better and faster. you should see roots soon. some strains cuttings dont root as easily as other strains.

I've got the same question, does the tip hang above the water or stick into the water? Since the bubble mist keeps the bottoms moist, both methods will work- but which is more optimal? I've got one of these with four sites, I think I'll try two each way and see which roots faster.

Can this only be used as a cloner?? Or can I just replace the plugs with rockwool and a little bit of clay pelets and start a grow of 8 plants?? Im guessing that it can only be used as a cloner, but i know that the stems dont growout of the rockwool and the roots would probably all connect. Please answer thanks.

Yeah you can. Just get some net cups and rockwool/peat sponges, and you've got yourself a bubbler. You won't be able to carry a full 8 given the size of the rez shown by Wolf. The roots would get way to big to keep them contained. The roots can connect but as long as you seperate them weekly (very easy) this doesn't happen. This is basically what I am growing out of currently and it works well. Pics below.
