Very nice everyone, As the self proclaimed father of the "MaroGarden" you have all made me proud! :)

lol

Heres some critiques....

Brnpiper.....They are looking great....

As far as the fermenting fruit....good idea but I dont doubt that less than 2 days after putting that fruit in there that you will have a swarm of fruit flies, in there....Now you might say that your cabinet is sealed tight...but dont underestimate those lil buggers....For CO2 i use several small water bottles and sugar water mixed with yeast.....Since Ive been doing this I have noticed and killed about 5 fruit flies all on seperate occasions (one fly at a time would appear) I gor lucky proboyl it never got more than one fruit fly at a time in there....but still I have it sealed up pretty good...and such a little amount of CO2 has drawn them to it....Be careful...

....As far as the fox farm nutes go, You don't know about the fox farm online feeding schedule? I have a hardcopy feeding schedule that they had at the hydro store next to the fox farm nutes....Do a google search for fox farm and look for their hydro feeding schedule....

.....I like that layering idea I might try that eventually...

...Oh and by looking at your pics, you have the lighting hood too high....Dont be afraid if the plants are right up on the light...as long as they are not touching the light they will be fine...Keeping the light as close as possible from the very begining will keep the plants smaller....But size might not be an issue for you...

Vandewalle.....you should find somthing to cover those empty holes even if it is just an empty pod....maybe some duct tape...do this so shit doesnt fall into your water...plus I heard that light reaching the water will cause the growth of Algea....We wouldnt want this... They look beautyess tho..

Good luck my Aerogarden pirates Arrrrr!
Avast ye filthy sea urchins

Peace

haha, 1st mate, thats great man...haha...why do you keep calling it the marogarden? and i think because my strain is more indica it will be short enough to stay in the hood.

Marogarden or Mar-o-Garden = a combination of Marijuana and aerogarden...duh...I wouldve add the "I" to make it mariogarden...but I think that might be a copyright infringement against the super mario bros...lol j/k

Lets hope it stays small but I don't think they will.... I just looked at my plants 24 hours after looking at them last and the big one must have shot up at least 2-3 inches! holy shit...this thing is getting huge.....Like I said pics coming this tues...

Peace

alright well it all depends on the strain and my strain seems to be a really small and bushy. i know yours was bagseed, but was it kb or reg or something else? i just hope they stay small...and if not it should be alright as well. i just want some bud. how much do you think ill get?

hey tek, i was just looking at one of your pics and i saw that the three plants you have growing are all in the spots next to eachother...if this is true is there any way that the roots arent tangled, because if they are not, be very careful and move them to the middle front and the left and right back. this will make it so they arent fighting for light and they will grow better

Yes I can't tell for sure but i assume theyre tangled somewhat....

But its ok....next time I might try 3 in the outer holes...

Hi guys- I'm a total newb but I've been reading for two days solid, and I'm into it. As soon as I get back from winter vacation I'm getting one of these and trying to grow for personal consumption. Wanted to know what you guys already using these are planting for seeds, and strains those experts who would consider the Aerogarden suggest. As far as kind of high I prefer, I'm not an expert, but I think I prefer a mix between stoner/couch high and cerebral. Something that is strong, way relaxing, but doesn't put me to sleep or kill my brain activity! I buy like 3rd hand now, so have no idea what strains I've been getting, but I like it strong since I may only have the oppurtunity to smoke one or two times for a minute or two in an evening, so I can't keep going back for hit after hit. I was thinking chronic from what I read could be good, but other suggestions are welcomed, and I have no idea if that would grow better or worse than others in the Aero. Any advice apprecaited. Thanks!

How are you going to grow weed if you don't have time to smoke it..it takes more than a min or 2 every night....even with the aerogarden.

Don't take that too literally; sorry. I just meant a few sessions with some big hits here and there do me right schedule-wise. Some dirt weed I get requires me to go down to the basement 5 times or more to feel much. More potent= less hits= good. I think some of the indica/sativa strong blend sound right to me. Some of the pure indicas might knock me on my ass too much or put my wife to sleep before playtime :-) So a good strong blend that's easy to grow short and stubby sounds good to me. Would chronic be a good choice?

well its not all the strain. its also when you harvest that matters...the trichomes are all cloudy=cerebral, the trichomes are all amber=couch high. do with this what you will

also i just bought 3 100w equiv. cfls and i am going to be putting them around one plant that i am going to transfer to soil. i hope all goes well...if this works i will have a mother that will keep the marogarden going for years to come

Why move it to soil though? It would seem easier to me to keep it in the aero garden and use the money from your first grow (assuming you mean to sell what you produce) to purchase a second aero garden for mother plants? You could probably keep 3 or 4 mother plants stable and have a variety of bud :)

hsdpa anyone tried growing low ryder in the aerogarden? it would probably be best since they go from seed to bud in 8 or 9 weeks, and they are also auto-flowering so you can keep them on 18 hours of light and they will bud better:-)

good luck i"ll be getting mine very soon and next week my low ryder seeds will get here. i'll update as i grow them.

I have a quick question for some of the more seasoned pro's around here regarding cloning. I currently have the 7 plants, started from seedlings, in the aerogarden. It's all grown from bag seed, but some of the buds that these seeds came from were some amazing, amazing stuff. I'm hoping/praying that I at least get a few females out of the bunch.

My question is this:

Can I flower first, and then take cuttings from them once they start to show the sex ? The cuttings will become my "mother" plants and will be put back into the vegative cycle.

well you see...i dont mean to sell, because this is only an experiment for my own good...and the reason i am moving to soil is because this is my first grow, and i seem to be doing well, so i thought that i would try the other end of the spectrum and try out some soil...i am but a curious mind hoping to learn more than i know.

Speaking of cloning.... I've read about 10 different ways to do it.

Does anyone have a fool-proof, step-by-step procedure that works for them? Please list any and all materials and steps used, including nutrients and plant prep.
