So I wanna be very straight here.

Little man and I went to Walmart for groceries a while ago and cut across the aisle to get him s lunchable. I stopped and saw the cups I have at home, they are 18oz cups, all of them are. Walmart literally sells one set of 16oz cups now, the original brand has moved to 18 entirely.

I didn't know, juat assumed they were 16s, but as soon as I found out I wanted to tell you guys as well. Fair game. I'm not a cheat.

I did buy the 16 cups and could transplant tonight after work, in the truck now. They are just sprouts but I'll leave that up to the community.

Thank you for your answer bicit.
I never have a root bounded plant so i probably won't even recognize the symptoms:

This Root Excelurator from H&G is working nicely i think.
Peace
I would just keep her evenly moist. Don't let her dry out when it is basically just a root mass.
And as someone else mentioned, getting any nitrogen?
Maybe substitute a couple grow formula waterings and see if there is a positive response.
All of the no nitrogen in bloom shit just ain't gonna get it done in a cup!

Thanks puff and MH, I'll let socal tally it up and make the final call. My fault for assuming the US wouldn't help us get fat :eyeroll:

Sorry to inconvenience you onehit. Wasn't my intention, just always knew solo cups to be 16oz, and thought the almighty 2 extra ounces would be advertised like a big Mac.

I do not have a problem with this either; early in the game and you still have time to go back to kindergarten and learn the difference between 16 and 18.

:)

That would make it a race
I go for style points. Also, that would be an inverse race, if you're first to finish you lose. Unless you're talking an old school circle-jerk? Either way, style points is my game. Double-handed-reverse stranger technique is only the beginning.

I had kind of a similar situation last comp, except my problem was the package said 16oz but the manufacturer was putting in 18oz cups in the package. I was DQ'D and unable to transplant. Each host is different so I guess you'll have to wait and see, but i'm fine with the transplant. Good luck to you my man!

@Scotch089, thanks for the heads up and go ahead and switch them out. We had a " Cup Gate " last round and I want to make sure we don't go thru that again. I want to make sure the whole field is level so I was looking thru the thread to hopefully make sure. We all learned through that episode last round a great deal about cups, sizes, shapes etc. and yes photoshopped cups. When I've seen cups with side ridges for gripping they're usually 18 oz. @FranJan can you verify your cups are 16 oz? They have that look and I want to make sure before we get too far along. Also @Don Geno your last update was 8/31, We need to hear from you. Scotch came forward and let us all know what happened and his plants are very young. Plus you guys weighed in and I believe made the right choice.

Everything's going pretty good here, updates are rolling in and we're moving along. Sorry I can't always answer right away, work and other things can get in the way. This current heatwave is brutal, high 90's and working outside sucks. Pretty burned out. Sorry to keep you guys waiting but I'm moving slow right now. Thanks for weighing in everybody, it helps to hear from everyone when situations pop up.
