I only ask because 1.5 gal pot with Ocean Forest premade soil and no planned nutrients after they expire in 3-4 weeks does not equal a lot in the end. It's going to be small and well underfed and even though that light will work it's also not the most optimal light.

It looks bigger than i thought but can't see it being any bigger. Did you top it? I can see it's atleast trained and looks nice.

Well the plant has already exceeded expectations. It wasn't supposed to get no taller than 7inches and it's passed that by a lot. Most I've seen are short plants she's a nice medium sized plant. This isn't my first grow and never really used a ton of nutrients and always have success. have all the nutrients she'd ever need but don't plan on using them.

No topping just LST. It's genetically a small to medium sized plant. She probably won't get any bigger. She's flowering and I'm sure she just finished her stretch.

1.5- 3gal. Anything bigger and you'd just be wasting dirt

I disagree. That is good for coco but for soil I'd say less than 5 hampers it. There are some autos that grow 5-6 ft if guven space. Most autos are medium 2-3 feet and i suppose 3 gal is good but less than that for soil keeps a smaller plant than the time it takes to grow is worth.

Yeah but also those plants still don't use 5gals of soil. You can take a look at the autos grown in this thread. None used over a 3gal so that's just my opinion. With the veg time on most autos being very short it be a good idea not to use such big pots. If you've had success using bigger pots then post pictures of them. I honestly recommend you find what works for you and run with it. These forums will have you spinning in a 1000 different directions. Just find one that works for you

I use 3 gallon pots. I would consider trying a 5 gallon if I had the room.

This thread is a few years old... from 17' untill you just posted a few days ago is 2 years. 2nd rate genetics might be in play here but GOOD bread genetics can and will outgrow 3 gal of cheap made soils. You're right though, do what you can do.

They were nice, they get big. I actually did a half ass scrog on one in the greenhouse. It yielded nicely. One thing I noticed was they stretch longer like a photo, which enabled me to attempt the scrog. Kinda old school on the flavors, which isn't a bad thing depending how you look at it. Good to see you around.

Update GOM had a unfortunate run in with the cats while redoing room. Fortunately tho had a Road Runner from Dinafem running as well. 1st is a pic of the GOM right before her death. Second is a finish pic of the RR.
