I've been invited to a friend's house ... otherwise Thanksgiving here would have been Swanson, Pacifico, Netflix, a holy goat and my dwindling supply of oil. cn

I'm buying dinner from Safewaay and going to My Moms house, she's too old to travel any more.
The trick to spending any amount of time at my Moms place is to eat many Brownies and hit the pipe when ever possible LOL!!

Oh dear, Carne; I meant my Cannabis concentrate. I call it "smudge" but I recognize that it's not a used term.

Oh and relationship yuh-huh ... the goat is just a friend. :bigjoint: cn

I live in Indian country. Smudge and smudging has a different meaning here but the purpose is the same, treatment.

i would imagine if i were to buy a turkey and all the fixin', i would have to spend about $100. i won't eat a bird unless i know where it comes from.

holidays r so stressful. i feel like i have to do something.. lol

i will go smoke and destress.

thanksgiving is so soon and i have nothing planned.

a proper meal is, turkey, gravey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, a veggie dish, cranberries, stuffed shrooms for app. maybe a soup. and i need to make a apple pie of some sort. and cocktails and cider.

We're making a really big deal out of it this year. Like we haven't done in years. It will be the first Holiday season without my brother, and his kids are really sad. We're doing everything we can to make sure all they have worry about is being children during the Holidays. I miss my brother. :(

sorry about your brother. that's wonderful that you're having a big celebration. i am sure everyone will appreciate all ofthe work you put into it. i enjoy making the day special but it's hard when i have no family nearby at all. i do it for me and my bf but it's almost wasteful for 2 people. how old are the kids?

The oldest is fifteen (showed a picture of him to April, I think she fell in love) then the second oldest is twelve. She's my heart. The youngest is eight and he's ornery. :p

My folks always go visit my relatives in Kansas leaving me and my sister and our respective significant others to fend for ourselves. My sister's husband always does the cooking which is nice. I kind of hate Thanksgiving though. Its always got a depressive aura about it. I blame it on the football.

that's tough :(

what are you making?

your brother will be with you.
It's going to be a New Mexican feast. We made tamales last night. My arms are so sore. Mixing huge bowls of masa sure builds the muscle tone. :p

We are having carne adovada, relleños, arroz, refritos, fresh tortillas, salsa (red and green), tamales, posole, and tres leches for dessert. I made a pot of red chili friday night and I am making a pot of green chili Wednesday night. We will probably have close to 50 people in attendance.

I'm gonna pressure cook some turkey until it becomes so soft that I can cut it with just my tongue. Mmm that's good, oh and I'm having it in South America. Pilgrim meat?

I love all holidays!!! I always have friends and family for thanksgiving, this year i'm cooking for 15. I always make a traditional meal. Turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, squash, stuffing, green bean casserole, rolls, pumpkin pie. I also have my kids help me with a bread cornucopia that we stuff with fruits and vegies for ppl to munch on, a cheese ball that is trasnformed into a turkey, and this year were making bite sized cherry turnovers. We always watched the macy's thanksgiving parade, football and awesome movies. It's such a blast every year, only downside is it's expensive...lol
