Cool, I'm gonna pick some seeds up in April if TGA is at the International Hemp Fest again. Hopefully they'll bring some Plushberry too!

Well I did drop two of my querkle beans in a glass of water yesterday and had roots popping out this morning!
Not too shabby.

Cool, I didn't know there was going to be another Med Cup in Cali this year, only Denver. We can't afford the flight to Denver and we were bummed that we were going to miss out on a great event. Gonna go grab my VIP tickets again. CAN'T WAIT!!

Do all you guys use supersoil?

Grasshopper....lots of good info here
I use SuperSoil for grows from seed and coco for my clones. I like SuperSoil because you get the true flavor and color of your plant. I like seeing it as it was designed to be grown, no chem's. But when i clone my SuperSoil plants, I use CoCo and beat'em senseless with nutes and additives just to see how hard I can push them.

Concidering people keep saying the querkle is a slow grower these seeds are bordering on voracious.
Tossed into water sunday night and here we are thursday and both have already broke ground and they dropped their shells this morning.
Fast as all get up. From seed to plant in under 4 days.

As far as Deep Purple goes you want the fastest grower that has huge rough cabbage-like leaves on it. I thought it was actually going to turn out male with the characteristics it displayed during early growth. I was so close to tossing it for plants that looked more "normal" that would have been a major mistake. The largest fan leaves on it were huge reaching 12"+ across. Calyxes were the size of small marbles and grew in tight clusters as opposed to like a diesel type strain where you get the "fingers" of calyxes. It finished up very purple leaves were nearly black in color. There were a few other phenos that had "average" sized leaves that exhibited color earlier and had nice frosty appearance especially in the middle of the cola, and they were good plants, but no were close to this monstrous beast of a plant. Also to add, it finished in 60 days like it was supposed to (unlike the damn barneys pinapple chunk that went 95 days). The thing I can say about this strain is that pheno selection is the difference between a good plant and something special. She's revegging now and honestly has taken the wind out of my sails for growing the other 15 or so strains I have in waiting. I have JTR and Chernobyl and several other non subcool strains waiting in the wings but I dont know if I can find space since I want to fill the room with clones from this one.

This strain has to be one of the most underrated strains and it produced one of the best plants I have ever seen in my life. Bag appeal was tremendous, effect was very very good, yield was on the medium-low side so its not a commercial plant IMO. I know a few other medical growers and it pretty much shut down anything my buddy running his 30K sealed room/co2/etc setup had and easily beat the med strains from the local collectives.

Subcool if you are reading this please never retire this strain, its a total winner.

Cool, I have had my eye on this strain for a while, it seemed like a sleeper. Good to hear you had such great luck. That and Plushberry (if they have it at the MedCan Cup) are my next two purchases!

Thanks for posting the pheno report. I love hunting...

This is my gorgeous Qrazy Train mother. She shows her colors at 4 weeks, crystals up nice, and has a very nice tight structure.

When she was young, she had nice fat leaves, and very distinctive coloring on her stems. It was easy to pick her out, the other genotypes were very green, different leaf structure (thinner, more Sativa like). However, after the cloning, it seems like the leaves are now thinner. The original mother plant had fat leaves, but this clone had thinner ones, and every clone off of her looks just like her. They're in a SOG grow right now.

Hopefully this helps someone in their own hunt

She normally looks healthier but I cloned her brains out about 4 weeks ago. She's still filling back in.
