Man.. I'm starting to think that in central TX (zone 8b) you can grow year round.. Just finished one outdoors and I've got one outdoors right now and I think it is gonna finish just fine.. maybe..

If it will finish with a start this time of year then it will finish any time of year.

Winter plants will be damn small and slow of course..

I've been growing this Killing Fields for a little while now.. Loving this herb..

I have 2 male plants that are about to give me some pollen.. I'm wanting to hit it to that Killing Fields up there ^..

The male plants I have are Bodhi Silver Mountain.. Silver Mountain is Super Silver Haze x Appalachia..

I liked the sound of his Appalachia, I thought it would make a good male.. Appalachia is Green Crack x Chem Dawg,, basically.
So, I am very experienced with SSH, Green Crack and CHem Dawg, so I think I should be able to spot the Appy from the SSH.. of course, with males, this will require that I test the progeny, which I plan to do. It's just 2 males, a couple full tents dedicated to that cause and I'll have a pretty good idea of what each male can do.

Tomatoes do bc my house faces the perfect way

I got 6 females out of that pack.. 4 were purple.. 2 were green.. I kept one of the green plants.

2 goji og

females, looking for long term keepers..

a friend of mine is growing the fuzz right now.. he LOVES it.. says it is good even for Bodhi stuff. which he has grown a bit of.

Roughly where I am... I would try if I could get a incognito green house up. I feel like it would be a lot of hassle and not be worth the efforts. Of course I could be completely wrong... what kind of results do you end up with? Do you stick with the Afghanis or automatics? I havent grown in a few years, so I'm starting from scratch, and kind of overwhelmed by the amount of strains out there... any suggestions. Im looking to start with a few different strains. I want pure or at least %80 dominants, of sativa and indica....

Never done the autos before..
Ive never tried a winter plant before so Im about to find out..
done plenty of good plants planted as late as August though..

I'm gonna try just moving the plant into the garage if it drops into the 30s..
we'll see what happens..

I am next door in LA but i do hank.

I really would like to start a seed bank. Take a few phenos, and cross them with a few different males. Then take the seeds I want, replant the rest. Chop the weak, then hopefully after a few seasons I have a regular stock, don't have to worry about clones (I hate fucking with clones), and can experiment with strains and traits I do or don't like, plus free seeds for everyone

I don't know nothing about zones or whatever you said. But you can grow year round just fine in the midland Odessa region. Just watch those dust storms.. For real..
Like I said I don't know where your at. But snow is fairly common up there. I've never had a plant die, seedlings always make it fine too. Herm's are likely and planting your crops in groups is the best way. You'll end up cutting away the outer plants that sort of protect the innerds

No snow here.. Yeah, I'm pretty sure this one is gonna finish.

I grow broccolli m spinach and radish this time of year but I wasn't sure until recently if I could even grow herb outdoor this time of year. but, i think you're right.
