different strokes for different folks............I found vert/stadium style difficult while trying to hit 1gpw with HID, didn't happen anyway. I'm not a good indoor grower so it makes sense. Doing this shit out of a closet now is easy peasy, the rest forget about it. Cheap soil, perlite, oc+ in my for profit days, hated scrogs and any other labor "intensive" stuff==== lazy, I remember my Innoled 98 cri single cob run, I fucking despised rotating pots........lol

You are a vert veteran, so I can't disagree with you.

be safe and happy growing RIU
When I started doing vert grows, it was much more labor intensive. Years of doing it and constantly trying new approaches has led to substantial gains in productivity, defined as yield per hours spent.

Equipment upgrades and redesigns, including but not limited to COB LED lighting, have also played a role in these improvements.

I think the time is right for vertical growing to come out of the closet and into the commercial space, because it can provide more product at less cost without sacrificing quality.

My time spent wandering around the Denver Canna Grow Expo yesterday and today has shown me that the necessary building blocks are in place for a revolution in indoor growing. All it takes is a shift in perspective.

My job put a new meaning on "back to work", fucking brutal....................finally had time to take pics/trash the ladies and sanitize. No worries friends I still have PLENTY of NL from the Zelion run.

I don't know about you fine gentlemen but I'm NOT vaping this or even making baked goods; no way.
View attachment 3736333 View attachment 3736334 .......and that's after a couple of days of full exhaust/ completely dried out plant mass==== it was WAY worse when I initially peeked in back from vaca. Fucking spores everywhere , was wearing a mask. I will let the ozone generator go full blast/no exhaust for at least two weeks until Round 2.

View attachment 3736341 ahhhhhhh Clorox makes everything better:mrgreen:, no wipes, full strength..................will probably hit everything again in a week.

perhaps next time you should try supplementing with a little UV light.even single cell critters hate UV light

We all have opinions and mine is opposing having tried the vert thing. Gram/w - simple with vert but the quality is not there in my experience.
Depth of canopy is an issue and the #1 problem in my opinion is a nasty little thing called "Gravitropism"
It was my observation that the plant was somewhat confused by the vertical trellis and was still focusing the majority of the energy to the branch tips on a pancake flat/thin plant rather than a nice full robust bush.
But I know, I didn't do it right or didn't use enough light or whatever. The whole concept is more bud in less space with less wattage right?
And let's not forget the massively intensive veg time

Spoken like a true veteran. I've battled those problems, too. The formula has changed somewhat from the one you describe. There's a few other tweaks as well. No magic sauce.

join the club of experienced growers who "don't know how to grow" some people here seem to feel that if you do not agree with them then you are a total idiot.you are not going to teach these people anything but there are a lot of us here who are looking to learn from other growers so your experience is valuable to me. maybe vertical grows requires a different kind of plant training in the same way that different kinds of light require different growing styles. growing plants is as much an art as a science

Agreed, but you'll notice I didn't call him an idiot. I told him I've been working at it for years so maybe it stands to reason I might have learned a thing or two.

Indeed, the whole reason I called him a veteran was to acknowledge the fact that he had first hand experience with the challenges of the form. NOT to impugn his skill in any way.

It's important to me that my intent is understood.

And yes, it is an art and science.

sorry. I guess I misunderstood the debate. did not mean to question your intent.but i'm sure that you've seen the kind of people i'm talking about on these web sites

Tighter lenses, light distribution/pattern that illuminates only the roadway========= problem solved, lol

good to see you friend........how's Hellas?

I kinda agree as well , but with our cash crop we have been taught that OUTPUT comes first==== we have turned into efficacy whores for a good reason(more product).

The Dawg giveth and the Dawg can taketh away:)

YOU TRULLY ARE A GOD AMONGST MEN. Asian women travel countless miles to eat the corn out of your shit. On clear nights I can see an image of a pimped out poodle on the surface of the moon, a deserving shrine for the greatest grower to walk the earth! You have parted bath waters with your farts and have attained 5gpw from your tears in the waterfarms. I hope my son can reach a tenth of your talent when he grows up..........

thanks eagles

but are you giving up quality for that efficiency? it should be noted that the platinum led grow light is a 12 band light that contains 380nm leds. less effiecient but higher THC production. ( much more "sugar"). CLA adds UV tubes to their LED grow lights to address this issue. the aquarium crowd developed hybrid lights years ago when the found that LEDs produced better visual effects but the broad spectrum blue, violet and UV from florescent was needed to get good coral growth and violet and UV LEDs were very expensive and inefficient.perfection does not exist in the real world. you always give up something to gain something else
