Temprature Hlp

Hey i was wondering how the temprature in your grow room effects the plant, i have read that it should be between 60-75 degrees but i think this might be a bit hard to maintain as i cant afford the heating. Ive got both the red and blue specrum CFL lights fertaliers ect but its a little impractical having to buy and wire up a heater with a thermostat how badly will the quality of my bud be compramised if is a bit colder? bare in mind im in the UK and its pretty grim over here

I got some pretty expensive seeds like £100 a pack seeds ( Super Silver Haze, White Widow X Big Bud, Medijuana, Strawberry Ice, Purple Power and some others) your help would be much appreciated. Also whats the deal with humidaty.

hell i just put a space heater from wal mart in there and it works great.

im puttin in 2 CFL's for about 4-5 plants and the problem with the heater is the wed isnt growing in my house its my m8s house and hes a bit dense and i know hel let it overheat

use more 2700k CFL's. these put out more heat than the bluer spectrum bulbs....

Iv'e got both types Blue for vegative Red for flowering. which leads m to another point how many lights would you think i would need (including the wattige)?

I dont realy understand the whole Lumens thing i mean i should i did A level Chmistry physics and biology (i droppd out but i can still say it >.<)care to explain?

I see, thats on eof the reaons i bought the CFL's and the fact tha you can plug them into a normal light socket which i can wire up myself no problem.


Back tot he original Question how much does a low temprature (in a cupboard with 2 CFL) compramise the quality of the bud combined with a low humidaty?

Humidity first is a easy fix just put a glass of water in the cupboard as for heat that was fore mentioned (more CFLs). Its really hard to say, it grows best between about 70 and 80 degrees F, or 21 to 27 degrees C. Some strains are hardier, and will do better than others in the cold. As Love1Fear suggested, you should add more lights instead of a heater if that will do the trick. Your yeild will be miniscule if you only use 2 to 4 CFL's for 4 to 5 plants. They're going to need a ton more light than that when flowering.

how many CFL's would you reccomend? and how do i measure humidity?

The answer to your question will low temps in the 60's affect my buds

YES, that temp is to low needs to be no more than 75 and no less than 70

however a 10 degree drop at night (lights out) is acceptable

you MUST know the humidity as a good grow is the sum of all of the parts and humidity is a part as is light and temp

MJ is temp tolerant from 50F to 90F

it's all in my class

unfortunatly not as i havnt set it up yet as im still waiting on the £416 worth of seeds to come through but when i set it up il post some pics up and we dont ahve a walmart over here and unfortunatly anything like that is rediculously expensive but i suppose its worth it. But realy is it 100% nessicary as the first lot im growing is purple power that was desinged to be grown outdoors in holland. Also ive read that you shouldnt line it with tin foil i was thinking would it be ok to put mirrors all around the plants or would it crisp em up do ya think?
