Drug testers forced schoolboys to drop pants

Three schoolboy competitors at an international rowing regatta in Sydney were forced to drop their pants during a drug test.

The Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority (ASADA) has confirmed that its officers went to the regatta, which featured children from exclusive Sydney private schools, three weeks ago.

An ASADA spokesman says three boys from one school had to lift up their shirts, drop their pants and provide a urine sample to an official.

He says the authority's rules state that a parent or guardian should have been present for each boy.

When ASADA testers turned up at the Head of the River Regatta last weekend they were refused permission to enter.
If they'd strip searched my kid, the ASADA testers wouldn't have simply been refused permission to enter an event- they'd have been swimming with concrete waterwings. Bastards.

Good to see some resistance to the drug war.

That really does step over the line. Its kinda funny. I read an article from the Olympic Commitee. They want to drop cannibis from the drug list. They say its not a preformance enhancing drug, so they shouldn't have to pay any attention to it. That is an intelligent position.

i don't know Victor, if they ever make ad-libbing an Olympic sport they might want to reconsider that. :)

The stoopid thing is that we're not talking about elite athletes competing for gold medals and sponsorships... we're talking about friggin' KIDS at a high school swim meet.

Mine are in their 20s now, but I refused to teach my kids to subjugate to authority without question- and I refused to allow anyone to treat them like criminals with no just cause.

Shockingly, in spite of being given deep and copious amounts of information about drugs... they didn't grow up to be drug abusing maniacs... and actually, none of them smoke any weed!

I wish more people would be logical...

I mean, while there is merit that they could be looked at as role models, the very vilifying and demonizing of people who use cannabis is totally manufactured by the same who make that argument.

I mean, seriously, the govt would much rather pump me full of morphine and oxycontin, and not treat me for 9 months (VA medical... worst in the nation) than to treat me, and let me smoke a joint to deal with the pain. I mean, its cheaper, and it also works abut 100x better. Pot heads are not the ones out causing traffic accidents nearly as often as drunk drivers, or even teens texting on phones (what to do about the stoned teen texting on a phone....?) yet they don't seem to be in a hurry to actually prevent DUI arrests... it is a great revenue source for courts and jails. It puts you under their thumb... so I mean, it is not surprising that more govt officials want this, but their stance lacks all logic. If you are worried abut steroids, or any substance with some kind of enhancing properties (meth would be considered this... but not marijuana, unless video games becames an olympic sport, or hackey sack...)

Well, if antidoping is such a big deal there then they might of expected the tests to happen. Doesn't sound like there was any forcing though. They broke the rules by not having a third person in there and I would def sue for sexual someshit. At least make a point out of how even they have rules to follow. I would go all out and claim extreme emotional distress, PTSD, lack of sleep, phobias........

or take a shit in the cup

lets see em test that!
I actually did this once.... was working a job and riding as a passenger in a vehicle driven by another employee, who got into an accident. I was the passenger, and the company actually would not let me go to the doctor to check my shoulder (fucked it up in Iraq...) and ordered me to get a drug test done, citing the 'policy' that employees driving company vehicles who get into accidents must have a drug test done... well, i informed them i was not driving, as per the report and statements, and thus the policy does not cover passengers. So I put a turd in the cup, and the toilet which they had taped off, and the water turned off to the toilet... just to show my displeasment with it all... when they tried to fire me, I basically had a friend who is an atty show up, and tell them how they interfered with my seeking medical treatment for a known disablitiy (my shoulder... hell I had Vet Pref. points when i applied for the damn job too...) and thus could be held civilly liable, and a bunch of toher shit... they still tried to fire me... and well, lets just say i still get a pay check, and yet never have to go to work....
