Sweet Seeds "Green Poison"......

A pic at day 40 in flowering......very, very stinky sweet skunky smell- very hard to control at this point. Even at night it seeps thru the cracks at the door. Quite healthy and buds are thickening up nicely. This room will take me at least 2, maybe 3 days to trim properly- loads of bud sites, even below the canopy you are seeing. I'll probably cut the light back to 11 hours in week 6, to further the finishing process along but still figuring on going to 9 weeks (63 days for you mathematically challenged) even through Sweet Seeds continues to list 49 days as the finishing point- maybe for some but not for me. Started adding Botanicare Hydroplex (0-10-6) in small doses to help the thickening of buds to progress. Been using Flying Skull Z7 to keep roots very clean and white (an enzyme).....by the way, the picture is of the right side of the room- can't fit it all in the frame. And at some point I'll have to start going thru and picking off some of the larger fan leaves to let more light penetrate downward, maybe in a week of so.......

Wow mate, that is one super dense canopy, a few shade leaves knocked off would help immensley! They look perfect and should give you a solid yield!!
Maybe the 49 day flowering time is from first pistills and not first day of 12/12. I can never tell if its from day 1 of 12/12 so just go from where I think. Yours seems almost spot on for first sign of pistills.

I've seen people harvest them early and they seem happy with it.........I've grown it enough to know what's best though. I'll start picking some sun leaves soon, but I want the buds a bit larger before I start removing those little sugar factories- with 23 days left to go, I have some time for some thinning. Yield wise, in my system, I usually get bout 2 1/4 oz per plant on this strain which would be around 54 oz and I'll definitely save the trim for some killer cold-water hash.......not too long now!

Ah ok cool, I just get confused with breeders flowering times, I just take them with a grain of salt and watch my girls trichs, hairs and calyxes, you do the same obviously!!
Mate, that's a wicked yield, I'd love to go back to that size grow, I don't need to sell it so there isn't any point really.
I'm really looking forward to seeing your girls stack up hey, going to be some big fat colas in there!!

Since I pinched the main top, it will hurt cola size but increases number of cola's.............I also pinch to reduce overall plant height.

Here's a pic of mine off a different site.....I'll chop when whey look like this, or a day or two later.

Yeah I usually do the same, top and pinch for more heada as opposed to one giant cola, works better with an even canopy hey!
Man, that's a nice bud, looks full primo!!

Came across this today.....a G.P. crop from 2013. No pinching, which is obvious by the main cola size, but still got 55 oz. out of the crop. The one redeeming factor of pinching this crop is it reduces the chance the getting bud mold as the cola's are much smaller. I can't make the pic's big enough to see well here, but here's the thread- check out my post #37 pictures.......

I'll post my weekly pic's on Friday of the room, but a quick update......I'm figuring on going 63 days in flowering- 19 days to go, the room (and house) really stink of sweet sickly skunk while the outer edges of the room are slowly starting a slight brown up. I'm considering going thru the room in the next few days and start pinching off some of the upper sun leaves that are blocking the lower buds too. It may be the healthiest crop of G.P. I've ever done, even the bottom leaves of the plants have stayed green and healthy. Lastly, I'm already dreading the thought of the work that will be necessary to harvest this room........

Hey mate, I'm not a member at greenpassion so can't view the pics but I can only imagine how big that main cola is! And 55 oz would take forever to trim lol. I remember doing 33 oz a few years back and it took me all day!

Looking forward to seeing your pics man, sounds like they are coming along beautifully!!

One day, lol........it always takes me 2 days, sometimes a bit more to get the smallest buds for hash. I've been feeling my age lately, with a broken finger in my main hand and some other nagging injuries (knee, back) so I started exercising again on the stationary bike and treadmill- to loose some weight and better prepare myself for the work coming i.e. trimming, cleaning the room out, making new dirt, etc., etc. I'll be a new man in 19 more days.......or maybe a new, old man. Lol

Lol shit, I couldn't imagine 2+ days of trimming, that would turn me off doing it ha ha.
Good work on getting fit too mate, I've been trying to do the same, hitting the gym and getting right into martial arts! I'm loving it!
You won't know yourself mate!!

Ok......so day 46 in flowering. Rather than take a pic of the room, here's a more done bud. I still haven't touched the room i.e. removing leaves but I probably will this w/e. This bud is probably one of the more done ones in the room, so I'm still figuring on going to day 63 if necessary. Starting Monday I'll start slowly cutting back on the fertilizer, trying to keep the plants healthy thru the entire grow. I may also let the plants sit in the dark for a few days before chopping. image1.jpeg

Cut a small bud that was located under the bud pictured above last night and dried it in a food processor for about 5 hours last night. After drying I check the trichomes before smoking a bowl today- 3% amber, 40% cloudy and over 50% still clear. I think it looks more done than it really is at this point, day 48. I hit the Roor with a single hit this afternoon, first buzz of the day. It was a creeper, took about 10 minutes for full effect. Buzz was all in the head, which was expected by the trichome coloring but very long lasting- maybe 3 hours later I was still feeling it a bit. Enjoyable buzz, mood enhancing with energy- even tapped the wife in the afternoon as it made me horny as well.....LOL NO real taste or smell because of the quick drying, but it wasn't unpleasant in any way. No harshness at all which was surprising. I'll put up some room pic's up on Friday this week........

So, 14 days left at most. White hairs have really receded back into the buds the last few days. Easily the healthiest crop of G.P. I've ever done, I expect a top yield too. Exciting times here at the homestead!!!

Nice work mate, for an immature bud, it sounds potent as! 3 hrs is a good smoke! Even better that your mrs was obliging to 'help' you out LOL. It is afterall....

How far along are you Chong???? I heard very good things about that strain, although I think there's lots of pheno's and it takes over 70 days.....Feel free to pipe in.

Well, I did a thorough look/see thru the room today and am convinced I'll only need to go to 56-58 days, which is next Mon-Wed, about a week earlier than I thought. This strain is a fast finisher and after I cut the light back to 10 hours a day on/14 off a few days ago and reduced the ppm of the ferts to 500, I think it's helping the plant to finish off.......pic's up tonight or tomorrow.

Plain water with enzymes from now on, about to do some leaf pruning when I log off........
