i'll be testing my sweet deep grapefruit freebie in my first grow this season as i continue to work on my skills and learn from the first complete grow i made last year before i test all of the new stuff i'll be getting soon and breeding it to a C99 x A11 male. if it turns out to be really good. i'll get another one for the fruity strains breeding project i'll probably do next fall.

i'm interested in it mostly for the flavor. if it lives up to it's rep, i'll mix it up with some C99 x super cali haze if i can get any of those to pop.

Their diesel is good. The one I had was strong smelling juniper, grapefruit, old school syrupy pot smell. Brush up against it and be branded for hours. One of the best smelling/tasting I have ever had, from what I read not all individuals are that pungent though.

Nirvana has good gear, its all about being lucky. i grow strictly regular seeds if i have the oppertunity. ATM i got 3 Blue mystic clones. 1 extremely branchy and easily overfed, 1 that smells like ketchup and is extremely stocky and does respond well to fim/topping unlike the branchy sativa pheno, the last pheno i've got is "perfect" sativa leaf and medium stretching, with blueberry skunk smell when rubbing stem, it takes feeding well and is purpling alongside the indica dominant clone. Their Bubblegum is also a good yielding/smelling plant i grew out with more indica growth but the yields and bud quality might be better(haven't flowered these 3 clones yet) but what you want from the bubblegum is to keep it around, because the strain gets BETTER with age, and the quality seems to go up and up(or just my experience with the strain). papaya was good too, nice mango smell. Aurora indica was disappointing this summer, but amazing 2 years ago(maybe different parents fucked it up). i want to order their "Chrystal" which is (white widow x Northern lights) x Northern lights.

i've had close to 100% popping nirvana regs until last winter when i had trouble getting everything to pop. i still think it was the colder room temps at play. the last 5 of a pack of C99s that was 100% in the fall was only 60% and a lot of other stuff didn't pop.

i've heard a lot of beef about nirvana fems & autos though. i'd stay away from those.

well do us a favor then, share your smoke report when it's done and the rest of the grow info for everyone else that's into that kinda thing. i just like smoke reports.

is that wire you're using to LST your plants with?

definitely share your experiences with ANYTHING you grow. i'm only interested in smoke reports myself, but any info on any strain helps the next person checking a strain out and there are so many no one is reporting on.

yeah I used a cell phone charger with the outlet cut off
LST has greatly influenced the rate of growth on lower branches

I am starting a freebie SDG from Dinafem, I recieved a freebie Power Kush from Dinafem last year and I loved it. Moral of story children friends, don't judge a seed by how much it costs. As always, stay medicated

not dinafem, but i did test my short stuff's onyx freebie and didn't like it anymore than whatever diesel strain i scored once either. it tasted extremely offensive to me EXACTLY like you scraped a dusty hardened old oil slick off truck stop tarmac & smoked it. even if it gave me dry heaves and i hate licorice, i'd STILL rather smoke durban poison than that. supposedly sour diesels are more lemony, but i've never tried one of those.

i WILL say though that onyx had a really fun euphoric touchy feely buzz different than anything else i can remember smoking. for some reason, it made me play footsie with myself while i typed. if it weren't for the lavor, i'd grow it again in a heartbeat for the buzz... possibly THE best HIGH for a date, but i think gals might appreciate the gearhead flavor even less and prefer to burn their lips on some spicy hot crushed red pepper kali mist or a fruitier strain.

i don't get diesel's popularity. i've thrown bagseed i grew near train tracks away for having that exact flavor, only stronger.
I've had a few of the lemony diesel strains. I had the privelage of trying an OG diesel cross that was pretty tasty. For the most part though, its what you said, the diesel taste is overwhelming. But the high from this one was superb. I think its more for the sativa lovers.
