Supersoil

I made a supersoil with light warrior, happy frog, ocean forest, worm casting, perlite, azomite, dolomite lime, kelp meal, and happy frog all purpose dry fertilizer. I am going to let it "cook" for 30 days. I'm going to start autoflowers in 18 oz solo cups for 2 weeks and then transplant them to 2 gallon smart pots. My question is how do I incorporate the super soil when transplanting?

Add some rock dust at around 1/2-1 cup per cubic ft...
I would have skipped the Dolomite and used Gypsum..
I might add some Alfalfa meal also.....

Do you have any of the FFOF left?

Alternate layers of your SS and the FFOF.
Start at the bottom and give me 3" of SS. Then 2 of the OF and alternate that all the way to the top and cover the top layer with a inch of EWC......Be sure to keep the edges with the SS....

Water only....

Good luck

Instead of layering the soil, could you just mix 1 part ocean forest to 1 part super soil and mix well. If there a benefit to layering over this method? I just don't want to burn the 2 week old seedlings.

What do you mean exactly by keep the edges with the super soil?

First off you need to get the roots set in a solo cup before final transfer......Roots should be nicely seen at the edges, when you slide the cup off....They should be not to the point of making circles around the bottom of the cup.

Next off, you will kill any advantage you would get from a SS by re mixing as you say.....so NO......do the layering !!!

Put some SS around the edge of the pot, does not have to be a thick or large amount, just there where the roots will circle the pot. It makes more SS nutrition available to the plant. Easy to do it when layering as vs attempting to make a "layer" around the edge first.

I don't like smart pots....They dry out to fast and tend to get the umbrella effect easy.......Look up Plant Warrior pots,,,aw here,,,

How big do these auto's get? If bigger then 24",,, you might consider the 3 gallon one's...

Remember, Roots first,,,then trans to layered pots......

i use led lights so the smart pots don't dry out fast. The plants don't get any taller then 24 inches.

Sorry if I'm a noob at this but when you say layering and putting supersoil around the outside edge. Is that the outside edge of the ocean forest layers?

Would it be like this:

Bottom layer = 100% supersoil

Next layer = super soil around inside edge of pot and ocean forest in the middle

Next layer = 100% super soil

Etc.....

correct!

Yeah, your plant in the solo should be rooted at around 8"-10".
Is that why it won't burn the seedlings when I first plant them because the roots will be alternately be growing in supersoil and ocean forest layers over the first few weeks of being transplanted?

And so you mean the transplant should be 8"-10" deep in the soil in the new pot?

You need aeration big time. in your mix rotted wood chunks biochar ( cowboy charcoal) oyster shells, porous rock (red lava rock) some peat something if not your soIL will get packed so hard And no air to roots.

8 to 10 inch's in plant height. And yes, kinda that's how it works....The alternating layers keep the plant from feeding ONLY on the high nutrient rich soil and burning......

No not 8-10 deep.

Do they only grow 8"-10" because of the stress from transplanting it? I just grew an indica auto that got 2' in the same 2 gallon pot.

You have a base soil and a "supersoil". You layer so they don't burn (plants).....The way he asked is directly related to how I'm answering...He wants to employ a super soil - organic , and not use liquid nutrients - no synthetics!
So yeah, you have to play with dirt to water only.

My statement to you was humor.....
