Subcool's Super Soil

Just finishing another round and it's time to say "Thank you Sub!" once again. Auroura indica, 2x per pot with some decent sized but very good quality kolas. Nicely formed and tight, unlike the hydro tray of the same strain which came out a bit weird. Taste report to follow once they get a decent cure.

Looking forward to some outdoor Subcool growing if we pass 19 in CA.

Hi, 1st i want to thank you subcool for ur Article in hightimes grow guide and for everything else u have put so much time into. sharing ur secrets.. this is my 1st grow. i am useing ur super soil. i have a question..
how often do u water? and how much ?
i cant seem to find anywhere anything about watering.. as to when and how much.
AS u can see the super soil has transformed these hydro clones into beasts in just 30 some odd days super soil is amazing.

Pick up the pot, when it feels very light,it is time to water. After water,pick it up,so you know how it feels full

FYI... It is the calcium in the poo, that would be the exact ingredient that would help loosen up the clay soil...

ahh so u pretty much wanan let it dry out? because i was watering everyday. letting 10% run off and it didnt seem to b hurtin them but i didnt wanna make root rot.

maybe ive missed it somewhere but hey question. if im useing super soil do i just feed with water all the way or now that im in flowering ( just started) should i b feeding extra nuets

I wanna see if SS is possible in coco. Since coco has no nutrients I will need to add something to make up for the FFOF or RootsOrganic or whatever the recipe calls for these days. Any ideas?

I think it is possible, just add some perlite and a few different guanos and you should be fine.

any one tried SS using Organicare pure earth soil instead of roots or fox farms? I really like this stuff and am curious if some one has used it in the SS recipe

my super soil grow so far. lol i think i waited way to long to start 12/12 light cycle since they were like 3 1/2 ft. when i started it.. but right now im feeding with water and General organics bio bud bloom booster which is .05-.01-1 .5% nitrogen .1 Phosphate and 1.0 soluble potash 1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water. should i just stick to water? and when u say add some sugar during blooming is there a certin product anyone suggests.. ( organic of course )

hey when and how do u apply the bud candy and mollasses?

i do the bud candy a couple times in the first 6 weeks, then hit it up with moll twice in the last 2-3 weeks...

1tbsp/gal for both?

You can mix mollases with a cup of warm water. I used around 2tbsp per gal. Ive never used bud candy or know anyone who has. NathenKing-do you like it pretty well?

Def invest in Bud Candy.... the shit adds weight for sure.... i think the man himself uses it as well...

I wish someone would do a side-by-side with bud candy and without. I really want to try it but the price is retarded..

I've already spent like $200 on additives that didn't do crap when put in a controlled experiment: fulvic acid, humic acid, Humboldt County Ginormous, AN Voodoo Juice, Prozyme.

well i did a run using the same techniques/grow period without budcandy.... got 2.5 elbos... next time did the same thing... got a lil over 3 elbos... that was enough for me... i use it now... and you really dont have to use alot of it... you can add it twice during a whole bloom cycle, and it wont actually cost that much my man... hope this helps...

yea.. doesn't really help because that's how one ends up with more and products that they actually need.

What's to say that your increase in yield wasn't from diff veg time, healthier plants, diff nute strength or soil composition, light distance, basically having your grow dialed in?

Sorry I'm just really skeptical of additives these days after seeing that Humboldt County Ginormous (18/16 pk booster) didn't do anything.
