I can't find anything on rollitup about using chicken shit as fertilizer. Can somebody throw me a link that goes into detail about the effects and recommended dosage of shit a plant can handle. thanks

I got my chicken shit in the mail today. Do you fuckers think i should use it or not?
You need to tone it down with the language there, asking like that will not get you anywhere

Add a little to one plant vs one without, watch it & let us know how it turns out

yes, I'm using bat guano thanks for the suggestion. I just thought chickens have micros that bats don't offer. chickens produce very specific enzymes. I have learned that chicken shit it is commonly used to open up clay soils and increase soil permability .........I'm going to periodacally add it to only 2 of my plants throughout the grow by lightly raking it in to the top layer of soil every few weeks during waterings. and then compare it to the plants I don't use it on.

I personally like chicken poo. It helps create complex flavors but it's mostly a source of nitrogen yet it all depends on the diet of the source.

sub says he has tried it before, he also says he expects people to try there own things.
I personally have had excellent results not fixing what took 20 years to perfect.JMO though.

I know you're busy Sub, but if you see this I'd appreciate your opinion...As well as anyone else that would like to chime in :-P.

My last batch of SS I used 6 bags of Roots, and 2 bags of BioBizz Light-mix. My shop doesn't carry BioBizz soils anymore. (It's cost prohibitive to mail bags of soil from Amsterdam.) It seems as if the Light-mix in SS is mostly for aeration and water retention, correct?

Light-mix is basically perlite, peat moss and sphagnum peat. I was thinking about substituting it with "Botanicare ReadyGro moisture" Which is about 50/50 perlite and coco mixed with trace amounts of humic acid, seaweed meal, and worm castings.

If I can't find Light-Mix would you recommend using 2 bags of the Botanicare stuff, or just go with 8 bags of roots?

Thanks.
