Couldn't get it to embed..

Great interesting, informative video! 1.5 hours but worth it when you can make the time. Starts slow, but moves to more advanced...

Dj short thinks an 11/13 flowering cycle could possibly show pheno's you would maybe not see during a 12/12... thoughts...?

Interesting video. Some odd info and casual view on breeding from Ringo. Pollen lasting 3 or 4 years? And how you can you maintain quality control in an outdoor breeding environment?

Far as DJ Short and the 11/13 light thing...worth a try. Can't argue with his experience, at least until I try it myself.

Oh and the thing about differences in sativas and indicas relating to trichomes. Gotta think on that bit for awhile.
Cheers,
JD

I shouldn't have watched any part of that video. Only confirms my thoughts about the whole deal. What a joke!

I dont think we can make fun of anyone up on that stage, even if Ringo lost his train of thought a million times (simply showing is stoner's skills) and some of you might think mzjill is a retarded (how mean!!) I think it should be encouraged and we need more of this. Cannabis is so far behind everything else in Agriculture.

I learned a few things I didnt know watching the video, one of them being so few people have been breeding seriously and or with a lot of knowledge, that the handfuls of great breeders out there all have different methods, thoughts and views on different topics and makes me think any one at home can do their homework and come out with professional breeders gear, at home.

Your question begs an issue I have not stumbled upon: does the length of dark (critical issue) affect phenotype in hybrids?

I have not read a thing on this yet. But it is a very fascinating question. I don't recall Ed mentioning this, although pre-sexing can be done with darkness more than 6 and less than 12, but nothing on phenotype and darkness.

I am reading lots now so will keep an eye open for this.

Don't be a dick. She is a mother, subs wife and runs a very successful charity besides being a breeder and an extremely knowledgeable grower and, by the way, very successful in the business.

Just not cool. This is a small world. If you want to become a better grower or breeder, dissing someone as you did just says volumes about you and peeps have long memories.

Its the weed not your opinion of people giving free info to you.

Just my humble opinion.

Good Point, should have taken his name out of the title that was a little misleading.

I tend to give the benefit of the doubt on it. She was wearing very dark shades in a dark room, could have been really stoned as far as I know. It was obvious Ringo was pretty baked, but he was coherent accept for losing his train of thought a couple times. He was interrupted on one of them too.

Might have made the same misstatement myself if I was stoned. Mzjil was mostly right the second time, it is debatable but there about 5-10 main terpenes, 25 or so that are more rare but discernible/recognizable and over 200 different types in total. But, I do agree in general if you don't know try not to give inaccurate information.

I didn't know pollen-chucking f1 polyhybrids counted as breeding.
Why not? some of the greatest strains probably come from pollen chucking down in some basement creating very special clone only strains.

breeding (ˈbriːdɪŋ)n1. the process of bearing offspring; reproduction
2. (Genetics) the process of producing plants or animals by sexual reproduction
3. the result of good training, esp the knowledge of correct social behaviour; refinement: a man of breeding.
4. a person's line of descent: his breeding was suspect.
5. (Nuclear Physics) physics a process occurring in a nuclear reactor as a result of which more fissionable material is produced than is used up
