So today is the last day of the 5th week of 12/12. Had my maths done wrong the other day so that wasn't day 34. Anyway I havent seen the girls for 3 days as I was away on a business trip. Got back today and realised that i flicked the switch on the timer and they've been in darkness for 3 days. Does anyone think this will cause them a problem?

Also I looked closely at the girls and on the tops of the strawberry cough some of the pistils have gone amber. As its only going into its 6th week of 12/12 I figure this shouldnt happen but this is my first time doing full term plants so Im not sure if anyone else has experienced this. Could it be that the light is just too close?

looking at temps when the lights are off it reads about 55 degrees. I thinks it is causing a little bit of blue to come out in the cought. Some of the newer leaves is getting a slight bit of purpling in the leave edges. Could also be the Purplemax that I'm using too

Im going to give them their feed today and will add my first dose of Humbolts Own Gravity. If I'm using this should I ease off on the base nutes that I'm using?

Hey man, your girls are lookin good, can't wait to see how they turn out in 3 more weeks. Sucks about the lights being off for 3 days though, shouldn't hurt them too much though, you should leave the light on for 14 hours now everyday, I've heard of people doing 14 hour days the last 2 weeks and it benefits them alot. Can't wait for my girls to be ready to flip the switch, still got another month though prob. til I do, gonna lay my screen down next week.

I reckon they're gonna need another 4 weeks or so before they are finished. Had anyone else tried shortening the light in order to get bigger buds? I might try it when I'm giving them their flush

So i read something today and I'm a bit worried. Plants are on day 1 of week 6 of 12/12. Ive been noticing a good few of the pistils on the 2 strawberry cough going amber. Does anyone know is this something the strain does or could it be because of pollination?

Bit worried that I have a cross dresser in there. This leads to my next question. Right at the base of all the plants there are pistils on the main stalk. Is it possible for a plant to be female at the bottom, male in the middle and female at the top cause they all have pistils right the way from the top?

Cheers in advance and rep+ for good info

Everyone seems to have lost their tongues. Asked plenty of questions and plenty of views but no responses.

So Im not sure if I have a hermie in there so suppose its just wait and see. The haze is nice and green but the leaves of the strawberry cough are lime yellow with red veins. They also just got so marks around the edges of the leaves which has started in the last day or two

Heres a picture of the leaves so hopefully someone might have the answer

I'm still watching! Patiently waiting.

Check out this link, it's been really helpful for diagnosing my plants problems seeing as the FAQ here is down.

I've noticed that my strawberry cough is an extremely heavy eater, especially with N. Maybe it's just that idk...

Strange cause I got a warning a while ago that its delicate with feeding. In the last picture you can that there are some marks appearing on the edges of the leaves. Could this just be the lack of nitrogen? I'm assuming at this stage i shouldn't add any veg nutes to get the nitrogen.

They are currently at day 40 since i went to 12/12. Im going to take them down at 8 weeks to try get a more sativa high so Im guessing about 2 weeks or a little bit more left. Someone correct me if my maths is wrong.

As its only day 40 is that not a bit early for leaves to be dying off and pistils to turn amber. I took a few pictures today to show how many of the hairs have gone amber on the strawberry coughs. IF i did have a hermie in the box would it be enough to pollinate the whole of my crop cause the haze has barely any amber pistils.

First two photos are of the Strawberry Cough. Note the amber pistils

I see, well I guess I don't know man haha sorry. I'd imagine that if you have your nutrient regimen is in check, you should be fine. The group shot looks great though!

Started to notice black tips on some of the leaves on the cough. Should this be happening after 41 days of 12/12?

Would it be wise to give them a dose of veg nutes to top up the nitrogen?

SUp Dude,

Just found this grow. I'm pushing 2 Shining Silver Haze's als. Started flowering around Oct 5. So I'm a bit farther out than you but we should be able to use each other for comparison reasons...

I started under LED power only. I had a major issue with the push and almost lost both plants, so then I decided to fire up the 400W HiD, thus eliminating and risk of a diminished push due to lighting...

For some reason I cant see you pics or I's +Rep u. I'll log out and log in again maybe that'll help!!

:peace:

Today is the last day of the 6th week. The next time i grow I going to keep giving the veg nutes for the first two weeks of 12/12 as these have shown a big nitrogen deficiency I feel. After I gave my last feed I noticed a little nute burn but in my eagerness to sort out the plants i gave some veg nutes which seem to have pushed them a little far and they've all got some nute burn. The cough more than the haze. I flushed a gallon of water through each today so hopefully thatll sort it. Will maybe do the same tomrrow just to make sure. As i go into this 7th week I think ill give one more feed of gravity before the final two weeks of flush. Should the plants fill out a good bit over the next 14 days or so. Seem to have stalled out a little. A good amount of the pistils on the cough have gone amber and some completely red. I dont think they have been pollinated as it happened at all to the haze and I imagine if balls burst in a cab that size the whole lot would be pollinated.

So on with todays pictures. All feedback welcome

Do you think that the pistils turning amber could be in relation to the nute burn
Possibly but it could just be a different pheno. Pistils can turn brown just from touching them, doesn't determine when you should harvest. Just check the trichs man, they'll keep swelling.

Thanks guys to everyone that keeps stopping in. So im two and a half weeks from my target chop date of 63 days. Not done much since my last update. Giving them another flush to try make sure i dont burn them again with their final feed. Going to give them one last feed of Purple max and gravity. Not going to feed any more of the canna nute except the rhizotonic as thats supposed to help the plant recover from problems.

Strawberry cough seem a lot more sensitive to the nutes as mentioned. The shining silver haze didn't seem to have as much as a problem. The strawberry cough doesnt seem to have progressed to much recently but the haze continues to gain weight.

Should most of the weight pack on in the final 2 weeks?

I expected that the cough wasn't the biggest yielder from what I'd read but felt you should get a bit bigger.

Heres a few pictures I just took. Love to hear peoples opinions on how im progressing. Good or bad

On every plant, the calyx swell like crazy during the flush. Most people flush for 1 - 2 weeks so yeh they should put on some weight. Those buds still look pretty green, good couple of weeks left. Who knows how long the Haze's have lol.
