So today is day 14 of 12/12/ I'm assuming that this is counted as the end of the second week of flowering. Please correct me if I'm wrong. If my thinking is correct Ive got 7 weeks to go so then I would havee it pulled down just in time for Xmas

I ordered my HPS bulb however the mail service couldnt figure out the address even though it was perfect and sent my bulb back to the supplier. I had planned to run the MH for the first two weeks of flower because I read somewhere it minimizes the stretch. Realising I wouldnt receive my HPS in time I managed to get a 400w Sylvania Growlux. Anyone had any experience with this bulb. Just popped the bulb in as the lights were switching on.

Am I right in saying they will stretch up until about the end of the third week of 12/12. They are getting a good 4 to 5 inches about the screen and I have about another 10 in of space to play with so I don't mind them stretching more.

The strawberry cough seem like they about 3 or 4 days further along in flowering and have a lot more pistils showing. Haze are only popping their first pistils in the last day or so.

Just about managed to get screen filled. There was a small area that the light doesn't get to in the bottom left corner of the photo but I pulled a branch across to fill it in. Just want to make as much space as possible. For the craic I decided to count how many tops I had in the canopy. Counted 40+ and if every thing went well and I could get 3-5 grams dry I'd be a very happy boy

These are looking great. Definitely gunna keep up with this thread to see how it all turns out.

Im on my 4th grow now and its turning out to be my 1 fail grow. Guess it has to happen sooner or later. I only do 2 plants at a time, lost one this past week and the other is dying too. Damn thrips.

Anyway. I may give scrog a try for my next grow. Not sure if I want to continue with regulars or switch to autoflowering.

If you dont mind me asking, what are the dimensions of that cabinet? Looks about the same as my tent. If so I can do three.

Ah we all have our fails. Ive had one or two spectacular ones to be honest.

Scrog seeems to be the way forward. this is my first scrog and enjoying it so far. Few things Ill change for next go but thats learning. I did 3 rounds of autoflowers before and learned so much for them I decided id try this.

Cab is 80cm long, 50cm deep and 160cm tall. I grew 3 autoflowers in there before. think i might be able squeeze one more plant in there

Awesome. Your cab is about the exact size of my tent. So I guess I will shoot for 3. What you have going tho looks great. Will surely follow this thread.

I love what your doing here but I dont think I will try scrog until I have at least 1 good autoflower grow. Im always scared to try new things. Scrog just seems so difficult haha. Any particular guides you followed?

I have decided to go with autoflowers for my next grow. Debating if I want to order them or not. Not sure if the yeild will turn out as good as I would like. (have pakistan ryder/lowrider#2 and ak47/and lowerrider#2 in shopping cart now).

I did autoflowers to get a good feel for it. Looking back theres not a huge amount to it and they change so fast its hard get bored. I was yielding up to an ounce per auto. Not too bad for 9 weeks work from seed but I'm getting a bit greedy and want more. I did Dinafem Roadrunner, Hymalayan blue diesel, Red and White Dwarf and Blue Mystic. All autos. Have a Haze automatic I want to try at some stage too. Maybe as a filler between grows. With regards to the space I think you could fit one more in there. What light set up you running with. I was using a 250w Hps for the whole of my auto grows before stepping up to the 400w for this one. I did find that the autos grew a good bit bigger than I thought they would. The blue diesel in particular grew to nearly a metre but it had a 20gram cola.

Not any one guide in particular for the scrog. Tried to take a little bit from everywhere I read about scrogs. All he usual stuff which comes up here. Its my first go at a scrog and going good so far but I think that it is definitely the way forward for reduced space grows.

Im using a 400w. I only really needed a 250 but the 400 just looked so much better in the store haha. Ill be following this thread, keep up the good work.

Here is a couple of pics I found from my first scrog...

Think I'll be doing another next summer with Big bud and Critical Mass clones.
I got a few bugs in my grow due to the lack of air movement - learn by your mistakes i guess...

Best of luck, grow is really coming on now buddy.

That scrog looks sweet man. What strain was it? Lights? If I could get colas like that I'd be a very happy man.

Been away for a few days so gave the kids a big feed last night. Have them on a heavy dosage feeding and haven't noticed any burn so far. Th tops of the cough are starting to get covered with pistils. Haze is a little further behind. Its amazing the difference in the green of the two. Haze is a lot more yellow while the cough is quite a dark green. Even gave the haze some epsom salts but didn't really make a difference. Have noticed on some of the leaves that they are like tiger skin. Could that be bleaching from being too close to the 400w HPS?

Trimmed off a good few fan leaves today so hopefully some colas will push on through.

Heres a few picture

Looking for some advice here lads.

Ive been running the 400w MH/HPS pretty close to the top of my canopy. Probably about 5 inches or so. From the first picture in my last post you can see some of the yellowing thats started in the centre where the intensity of the light is greatest. This has started to spread out a bit to a bigger area. Will post updated pictures tomorrow when I get my camera home from work. You can also see a bit on the leaves in the 3rd picture. Sort of looks like tiger skin on the leaves with the yellow and green. It is mostly on the haze though. Cough hasn't got so much.I've also noticed that there is some red/purple stems and even the veins on a leaf or two.

Read a bit and Ive figured it could be any number of things but Ive narrow it down to 2. Temps are running in the mid 70's

1. Light too close and is bleaching the leaves. I've lifted the light to its hightest above the canopy which about the highet it'll go. Doing it as a precaution.

2. Nitrogen deficiency. Heard of a lot of people continuing veg nutes into the first 2 weeks of 12/12. This is to supply nitrogen for the stretch phase. I switched straight to flower nutes and Ive read that this can cause yellowing and red stems. They are approaching the end of the 4th week of 12/12 so is this a time they cause want a small dose of veg nutes.

If anyone thinks it could be something else please let me know and I'll look into it.

So kids, Been about 5 days since my last post. Plants seem to be coming along nicely. Starting to crystal up on the tops of most. I still thing the haze will take slightly longer than the cough. Just doesn't seem to be as far along. I'm currently at day 34 of 12/12. Just wish they'd hurry up but going to be patients.

I asked in my last post about the yellowing of the leaves. Fed a half dose of vegging nutes with my last feed for some nitrogen and it appears to have sorted out the newest growth but alot of the leaves are still pretty yellow. You can see this in the latest pictures. Going to give them another half dose of vegging nutes with this weeks feed too. Does anyone thing a dose of epsom salts may help too?

Didn't note when the first pistils appeared so possibly a week behind where I think I am. Both are 9 week strains so by my calculations I should chop on Dec 17th. Just in time for xmas. Could go a week longer I suppose.

I decided to give my girls a pretty major hair cut. I cut away a lot of the lower and mid level fan leaves in order to let the light penetrate further down the plants and to the lower bud sites. I will start to add Gravity to my feeding schedule this week so hopefully they will start to pack on the weight

Anyway on with the latest shots. As alwsys feedback or criticisms welcome
