OP Double check your facts whenever you read something, not all you read online is true LOL Grapefruit is a pretty amazing strain if you can find a good line of it... I have Dynamite which is a Grapefruit Bx from Next Generation, it's a 55day finisher decent yield, amazing smell sativa high but not to heavy.

Care to retract that statement? LOL If you look through all the MNS catalog and had to guess which strain of his is the original GWS I betcha 100% of the people would get it right, Shark Shock :) That said you would never guess Medicine Man was White Rhino originally. I'm going to go check my facts and I will eat words and edit if I'm wrong!!

I believe you are absolutely correct......but my suggestion stands. It's a wonderful strain, better then most WW.

whoa, I seriously think i'm gonna get some bomb seeds, either thc bomb, cluster bomb, or berry bomb. Would it be possible to get more than one strain in the same hydroponics system, or is it highly not recommended to do that?

it seems like there are so many options out there. I like bomb seeds' thc bomb, but also their cluster bomb, berry bomb, and cherry bomb too, and sensi's northern lights, barney's pineapple chunk, and barney's critical kush. And what about green house seeds' claims about huge yields like their super bud (big bud x skunk) with 900g/m2 after 8 weeks of flowering. Would super bud have a low thc % (and big bud in general for that matter)? And how would green house's white rhino compare to mr nice's medicine man? It seems like green houses would yield more.

Serious Seeds Feminized Chronic.

Biggest Yielder.

High THC.

to get a very high thc drop the light to 11/13 for the last 3 weeks.

but i use dual spectrum lights and the blue light in the dual spectrum can achieve this when the days start getting short.

you can get them mail order from attitude seeds or any decent seed bank.

if you are only ordering a few seeds from overseas dont worry the fbi wont be on to you.

get them delivered to a mates house on his card. or send cash.

I think more than genetics the environment being on point is important. Have seen many strains not really known for huge yields give a good amount, a gram per watt.

Curious has anyone grown cc 818 headband? Came across it and does seem a big yield from what they say but can't find any grows of it.

yes atittude seed banks is a good place to get beans if you live in a legal medical state or washington or colorado no one will give a shit you wont become a felon over this and you will get em in a few days. if you were a middle aged man trying to order say 100 beans ya then you might have trouble .

but from what i herd from several old timers who lived in various states that have legal pot laws its that the turn a blind eye to it and the states that dont have it legal at and are totally against it the local law inforcement might look into it but not the feds. doesnt still mean that you couldent become charged with a felony locally.

In places like nh and florida ill tell you this you dont wanna be caught with a roach in nh because you will get smoked those 2 places would be the worst states to do any mail for sure

Ninja 1 , youtube has several 818 headband and I'm sure you will see more coming soon, attitude just had a short promo that lasted about 3 days before they sold out, they were selling cc packs with free jamacian og x6, they also recommend 818 headband, so who knows, depends on what people want.. I personally went with 6x fem Girl Scout cookies, I've heard really good things about this strain even though it's not a high yielder and I've never tried it, it's going to be one of my mother plants in the future if I can find a good pheno.

I'm running 5 reg white widow x skunk#1
1 sage n sour
1 darkstar
1 northern lights
5 ice

first grow also gorilla, don't trust what you read on seed sites, I read that on average a first time grower is lucky to get 60 grams per 100 watts no matter the strain. If it's your first grow focus on other stuff like nutrient schedule, temps, humidity etc etc.

if your focusing on a high cash crop also as your goal, your obviously going to sell it, so who is your consumer? Is it a medical patient, do they have a strain they would prefer you grow, are the seeds more expensive for that strain, thus reducing your margins already. Also if your looking at fast turnover you can't necessarily equate that to highest yield, because if your topping plants multiple times and leaving them to grow bushier or taller for more weeks you can pull a lot more buds as an end result but the time frame will be longer. A friend of mine who lives in the USA is a medical patient and can grow up to 16 plants but he chooses to grow two and veg for much longer, he pulls close to 1.5 pound from each plant and then grows again from seed. Not the most effective way to get a fast crop but he pulls much higher yields than most people will get from 5-10 plants indoors (dependent on grower).

Two strains that pop into my head are Hindu Kush from Sensi seeds and LA Confidential from DNA.both finish in about 55 days and both are very good smoke,i also like cash crop plants like Gigabud and Moneymaker. One that i grow and friends ask for the most is The Big from BCBudDepot ,it is one of the best selling strains I've ever grown.

I saw r.p.'s og # 18 on here, what do you guys think about Skywalker kush? I know its (supposedly, I'll let you know when I finish it) one of the best yielding og's, and i know the quality is good but how long does it take to finish?

Totally agree with what he's saying. My first grow I got 20 ounces off of 1000 watts, but the footprint on my hood is humongous and now with my second grow I'm hoping to get 2 1/2 to 3 pounds with the same wattage, bc my tent is more than twice as big.

Yes, certain strains will yield heavier, but high yield is also a physical characteristic, meaning that its a GENOTYPE that might not necessarily appear as a PHENOTYPE. Out of the 20 ounces from m first run, 10 ounces were from 5 of my plants (2 of which were paid seeds) and the other 10 ounces were on 1 bag seed plant, that came from a dime of Mexican shwag. That plant def had yield in its genetics, but also had an extra 4 weeks of veg time.

Now that I'm nearing my second harvest, I'm learning that I'm better off with 3 four month harvests than 4 3 month harvests a year. I can almost double my yield by vegging for 8 weeks instead of four--something I wouldn't be able to achieve by squeezing in 1 more 4 week vegged harvest.

I'm no expert, but I've turned out some dank bud and some decent numbers and I would suggest you just start picking stuff out that you think you'll like, and see how it goes. This is (hopefully) the beginning of a lifelong journey for you, and you'll be able to work out the kinks and find plenty of keepers on the way.

As a conclusion, here's my example: og kush from hso. I was told (basically by everyone and the Internet's mom) that og isn't a good yielder, but I managed to squeeze about 7 1/2 o's of top quality smoke by vegging for 8 weeks and training her properly.
image_3.jpgimage.jpgIMG_20131207_211429.jpg That last ones an up the skirt shot so she can show you where she really shines ;).

Good luck bro, you'll find what you're looking for. I'd growing weed teaches you anything, its patience. Just hang in there for a couple crops, and I'm sure you'll find those keepers.

I had this awesome big long post, but I kept fucking up those damn captchas and it got lost in internet land. Shit!

Any damn ways, the gist of it all was basically this: you're gonna be growing (hopefully) for a long time. You can try and search around for answers on the best strain to grow for your environment/budget/method but at the end of the day, you're just gonna have to pop a couple beans and see what you like and what works best for you. Your least favorite when you order might turn into the dankest, best yielding shit you have when they finish. Nowadays they have genetics pretty stable (some breeders, anyways) but yield is just a physical characteristic; it might have yield in its genotype but that doesn't necessarily mean it will portray the phenotype.

And honestly, sometimes some of the best strains are known to be shitty yielders, but they can still surprise and please you with a decent yield if you use certain methods or whatever.

A perfect exams I experienced was hso's og kush (before I forget, their blue dream is supposed to be super dank and a heavy yielder, but I think its at least a 10 week plant). Og kush is known to be a not so great yielder, but I vegged mine for a little over 8 weeks and pulled about 7 1/2 ounces of top grade shit- for my second grow.
View attachment 2931062View attachment 2931063View attachment 2931071That last one is an under the skirt shot, so you can see where she really shines;)

But yeah man, I can practically double my yields by vegging for 8 weeks instead of four, which over a year getting 3 four month harvests vs. 4 three month harvests, will net way more yield than running a bunch of fast finishers 12/12 from seed. Maybe other people do better with smaller plants. Your best bet is to just pick out some that you think will be great, and start trying them out. If there's anything that growing teaches you, its patience, and that patience is worth it. Good luck bro I'm sure everything will work out great for you regardless of what you choose.

I hear people talk about 1 gram per watt. I never see it though. Not with my own eyes. I see 1/2 gram per watt on average. Maybe if you want to spend 2-3 months in veg, but heck if you are doing that, I will roll out 2 batches and more than make up for whatever I might not have gotten per batch.

Really? Shit, that's actually about what my goal is for my next crop lol. That's only like 2 and (not even) a quarter if my math is right. I got 20 ounces on a thousand watt for my first grow, but it was in a 4'x2' tent. I'm using the same light for this grow, but my new tent is a 5x5 so I'm able to fill twice as much space with plants (I have a magnum xxxl hood with a massive footprint and a hortilux hulb).

But yeah, I do veg for 2 months. Its worked out for my perpetuals anyways bc they spend the same amount of time as plants in flower. Plus, I definitely pull way more from the ones I veg longer--more than I could by vegging 4 weeks and pulling more crops (at least its that way with my still limited skill set lol).

Here's one of my smaller plants that I just put in flower:
IMG_20131216_102439.jpgIMG_20131216_102605.jpg

Its a white lavender clone from a g-13 labs mother. But yeah, I thought I had read of people getting 2,3 and 4 grams per watt with vert, mainline and scrog and stuff.

There are breeders you can trust 100 percent with their info. Soma Seeds, Mr Nice, Gage Green...
In 2010 I had a zero percent germ rate with Soma seeds Rock Bud. At the time he was taking alot of criticism for his lack of viability. Ordered from the attitude as well per the usual. The freebies I used to replace it had successful germ rates, I am unsure if it was 100% as it was awhile ago, but it was much improved from the Soma. My methods of germ have not changed, small cup of water on a cable box that is slightly warm, plant into medium once cracked. I also dont give up if they dont pop right away. Change the water daily to prevent any bacteria build up.

In comparison (I know its hard to compare washington apples to florida oranges) I had 100% germ rate with my last batch of Rare Dankness.

In no way am I saying Soma is bunk, I am just giving my experience with him. He also acknowledged the low germ rate at the time and offered to make it right, I accepted, and no further action was taken by him.

He will not be getting another $100+ from me.

20oz = 560grams from 1000w which is .56GPW
