Strain with best high yield/short flowering time/high potency ratio?

20oz = 560grams from 1000w which is .56GPW
Right, and that was for my first grow. I'm hoping to double it since I have twice as much space (and a better fitting space for the footprint of my hood) which would be 1 gram, or over 1 gram per watt. I was referring to althors post above, saying he's heard people claim 1 gram per watt but never seen it. I swear, I thought the average (experienced) grower pulled like 2 grams per watt.

Doubling your previous yield is quite a feat. Good luck.

I also see people throw out the 1gpw number, but I think its also so much to do with strain and probably a little bit of internet talkup. Now, if we could all take the same strain and the same light wattage and compare, then you have a real number of grower skill but until then I dont hold much flame to GPW talk up.

My blackberry is a horrible yielder, consistently, and if I purely ran that my gpw is pretty low compared to the interwebs. If I run all Qleaner then my yield goes up significantly and so does my gpw.

Long story short, if you improve off the .56gpw number than youre doing something better this time given the strain variable wont change from last time.

Interesting thread that was just started touching on gpw

whoa, I seriously think i'm gonna get some bomb seeds, either thc bomb, cluster bomb, or berry bomb. Would it be possible to get more than one strain in the same hydroponics system, or is it highly not recommended to do that?
Bomb seeds have run pretty good for me,,,,BUT beware of water temps going over 70 deg F ! The Berry Bomb (roots) are very temp sensitive in hydro. KEEP your res temps below 71 F to be safe! It's painful to come into the grow in the mourning and find 1/2 your plants croaked out - they will not "comeback".

Yeah it's ok to run more then one strain in a hydro system...Just don't mix indica's and sativa's together.
Stick with ones with the same type of times and cross ratio's

I really like these as "easy, high yielder, and potent too!

Both of these I can't keep in stock my patients....

Awesome, thanks for the link. Yeah I thought my yield was kind of shitty for the first run; I had pH problems that cost me some time and development the first couple weeks of flower. But actually now I'm realizing that yield wasn't that bad.

This time I have the same amount of plant sqq actually, one less than last time. But the plants are easily 2-3 times the size of the plants from my first run. My hood is known for having one of the biggest footprints in the industry, it was way oversized for my 2x4 tent. So I'm really hoping that the thousand watts will still be enough for all of these plants. We'll see what happens, but ad long as the buds grow about the same as before (which like I said, I wasn't really impressed with their size. A lot of the colas didn't fill out the way I wanted them to) then I should definitely have a really good shot at 1 gpw. I'll have to start a thread, I didn't realize my goal was at such a high bar.

Thor I had a similar idea to what your doing with a longer veg cycle. I only have limited space and time to care for plants everyday though so am mostly automated and just growing small for personal use at the moment and for some time to come.

The benefits of extended veg period is really just to bulk up your plants, and is entirely dependent on the space you have, with small grow rooms there is really no point to veg for a longer period of time as you would just end up trimming a lot in my view, but if your working with a large tent space (which is what I wanted to do in the future when I buy my own house), I could totally see the benefit of this.

Im growing under an 80w cfl 2 27w cfl for part of the veg cycle (germinated on the 8th and the 14th and moved into DWC on the 14th and the 18th while they were still a bit small), I just topped 2 and am waiting for the others to grow bit bigger also before I move them into my 400w grow space. I have a scrog screen set about 8 inches above the pots and plan to fill the screen for 2-3 weeks before switching to 12/12. So far its all going well and only had some heat issues when the temps spiked up to 95-100 outside, had to change the light cycle, put some ice packs by the fan to blow cool air into space and general headache.

Its my plan to clone the white widow x skunk#1, sage n sour, and northern lights, really depends on how the plants perform.. I have like 5 strains at the moment in my system but I just don't think the space will allow for it and a few are really slow in veg so far comparative to others so I probably will end up pulling them and possibly transplanting to soil and throwing outside, I wont be concerned overly if they take or not.

Under my 400w Im hoping to get about 3-4 ounces, but we will see, got to get them through veg, flower and summer heat.

It's really not recommended to run different strains in the same system. I have done it with mixed results. Some plants require different things like nute levels, ph, etc. IMO its best to keep them segregated to their own res. Height could also be a problem even if predominantly the same re indica, sativa.

I am new to growing (but have some experienced assistance) and want to grow some good stuff. I am growing indoors, have a Gorilla grow tent kit on the way, and intend to grow hydroponically. I have two 600 watt hps lights at the moment, and will consider co2 and possibly adding another 1000 watt light. I basically want to know what is the best cash crop strain- for a constant grow operation that will have very high yields, a short flowering time, and also high thc %. I know there are some strains that produce an unbelievable amount, but take too long. I know there are some strains that flower extremely quickly, but don't produce very much or may not be very potent. I am asking what strand has the best flowering time to yield to potency ratio. I am looking to grow high quality, fast flowering, high yielding stuff if possible. Thanks for any input.
Dr kriplings incredible bulk or fruit punch heavyweight seeds huge yields and great smoke and also easy to grow for first timers 5 plants 6 weeks veg with topping and fiming 55days flower 45 oz perfect for first time growers
