I agree with snaps.

Pics would DEFINATELY help.

I use CANNA MONO Ca and MONO Mg.

When I mix up a deficiency strength solution of Ca and Mg its about 1.5EC.

Addition

I've seen issues with K being toxic causing Mg uptake issues.

I know you use coco too and K can often become toxic when any PK boosters have been used.

Newb here but just wanted to relay my experience with my last run. All plants were showing mag def and my water is high in calcium. Did sime reading and seems high calcium can cause mag lockout. I foiler fed with a weak epsom salt spray and plants were back to being a lush green within a week or so. After they cleared up I added a tablespoon to each res as well with each refill.

That makes sense. I've been getting them around week 4 when I start using my pk. I've been adding an extra 0.2 of pk through week 4

When I use any PK booster I elevate levels of Ca and Mg anyway.

WATERDAWG raises a good point though.

With EC 0.4 I would guess you get calcium deposits on taps and inside your kettle etc?

Could be excessive calcium with the addition of the calmag product causing Mg def symptoms.

Il get some pics up later. The leafs are rusty so I'm sure it's a cal def and not a mag def. I start from seed. Not al the them r showing signs. What ratio do u use for the cal and mag monos

Sounds like your water may be a reliable source of calcium. Try just adding Magnesium sans more calcium or get an RO filter.

Make sure you don't have root aphids.

The Ca is 11% and Mg is 7%.

Directions state that 1-2ml per litre to resolve deficiencies.

I tend to feed my normal EC then match the EC of Ca and Mg in a seperate solution and feed plants exhibiting the def symptoms.

Mg def IME can have multiple symptoms usually though pale edges, irregular rust brown spots, leaf tips curling upwards and turning brown, pale white papery leaves.

Ca def IME usually starts with yellow/white spots, blade edges turning rusty, overall necrosis of leaves, red spots that are in between veins.

Without knowing whats actually in your .4 EC tap water: I'm still willing to bet that your locking something out, by adding the cal-mag, to your already hard water.

I grow in coco almost exclusively these days, and know it pretty well. I only add cal-mag when I use RO water, or extremely low EC/soft water. I like getting my RO or soft water up to around .3 EC using Cal-mag.
Have you tried NOT using the calmag? What nutes are you using? Are you feeding with 1.6EC maximum of nute solution? 20% runoff? Have you tested your runoff? Is their really a god? Lol

Sounds like your pH is off, I use calmagic from GH with RO water never have a problem at all and I run with LEDs. And its 1 ml/liter so you might be using too little I use 4 ml per gallon.

lol I'm using Canna coco a&b. wat u using? Got bad calmag real bad on my first run like 5 years ago. Started using AN sensi cal/mag and never had a problem for years. AN since stopped selling them and more important the owner was defending a peodophile so I do not use ne of there products. Started using calmag plus and been getting a slight def on some of my plants. At the moment I'm in week four of flower and feed 1.6. I think I'm gonna give not feeding calmag it feeding very little a go in my next run to c what happens. I'm using 11L pots and I'm feeding them 3L so there's plenty of run off. Might give a different calmag a go or go for the monos like J

I've used coco specific nutes like the canna your using, and have used "regular" nutes. Many different of both.:-)
Were you originally(before calmag)having an Mg def? Or, Ca deficiency?

It was a Ca def. it was a sea of rust. Not a pretty sight from what I can remember

Man, what a trip. You using coco specific nutes, AND hard water, yet you had Ca def? Crazy. I haven't tried calimagic yet, but if calmag+ worked before, maybe go back to it? Sorry i can't help
