Stem snapped under new growth

So I came in this morning to find that my stem had snapped under my newest growth right under the next set of fan leaves. I was in shock! I don't know how in the hell it could have happened cause it's in a closet. I went ahead and snipped it off. Will it be okay? Is this just basically a sloppy topping job? Or is it gonna die? You can click to my sig to see the full plant, it's almost at 6 weeks but has been growing slow due to a recent pH imbalance. Anyway here's a picture of what came off. ANY OPINIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!

shouldn't die, but if you have done any research into topping and were thinking about doing it. now may be the time. quick info on it: pinch off just above 1st TRUE node for 2 main colas, just above 2nd TRUE node for 4 main colas.

good luck

Looks like you topped it. No, it will not die. It will however stall for a few days and then the side shoots will begin to grow up at a much faster rate.

You might have accidentally increased your yield substantially.

Well that's exciting to know haha. I wasn't going to top on this grow but since it's done then fuck it. It is low stress trained though, will it make a difference at all growth wise or is it now just gonna focus on all the branches below and be a short shrubby plant?
