stealth led dresser grow

Hey guys this is my first grow journal but i thought it would be a good one since I'm using led lights which seem to be working awesome. I took a dresser and ripped out the interior, I then screwed the drawer faces to a piece of plywood to act as my door.

I have two chronics growing from serious seeds, this strain seems solid as they are growing pretty nicely.
Originally i was using a fluorescent tube for the first 3 weeks of veg and then switched to a 180 watt jumbo illuminator from Prosource leds. The plants seemed to love the switch as they grew quite a bit after the switch. Since I actually ordered 2 90 watt leds (they sent me the 180 watt by accident) I switched yet again so i now have one 90 watt led per plant. I considering sending the 90 watters back instead though since it seemed like it was much brighter but also a bit louder which I don't like since its a stealth grow. Alright enough talk heres some pictures!

I took the top of the dresser off so i could remove the drawers without damaging anything. That way if i need to i can revert it back into a dresser if someone suddenly discovers its not a dresser

half way done screwing the drawer faces to the plywood

Here i took two of the drawer supports and screwed them underneath so the flimsy bottom would support more weight

Heres the plants at about 3 weeks right before i switched to 180 watt led. Im using hydroton to keep nats and mold from getting to the dirt which is working great

here they are a day after switching to the two 90 watt leds and also a day into 12/12. I started lst'ing them last night as well, couldn't find a good enough net to do scrog so this will have to do this time around

Thats all I have for now but the pics are up to date as of last night and Ill keep you updated every few days or so depending on my schedule. I also plan on adding Mylar and a couple PC fans for circulation but other then that everything is going as planned.

As far as smell Im still a little undecided as to what Im going to do. I dont want to add my big 400cfm fan as that thing is huge and very loud so I thinking of buying something around the 50-70cfm range with most likely a home made carbon filter, any suggestions as to what i should do with that would be appreciated but otherwise if you have any questions for me fire away Ill try to answer them as soon as I can.

Happy reading :blsmoke:

It's called hydroton which is a hydroponic media. I had so much of it that I thought I'd put it to good use and it seems to be working

Good stuff!
I use a layer of hydroton in the bottom of my bonsai chilli pots with a J-cloth on top, then coco.
It's never occured to me to put a layer on top too.
Matchbox is doing some interesting stuff with LED.

Haven't posted for a while so heres some pics at about 15 days into flower. As you can see Ive been training them both, didn't get the canopy as even as I hoped but haven't had much time to tie them back completely every day.

I gave them both a nice flush after feeding them a mix of flower and veg nutes for the past two weeks. For now on I plan on using just my flowering nutes.

The pistils are just starting to show and both have some nice sites for colas to form. Im hoping that the chronic lives up to its name and gets big dense buds even grown under these leds.

Im liking them so far giving me some really healthy plants. It's hard to see in the pics but the lights are extremely bright, I need to turn them off when I'm working on the plants.

The 90 waters are 300 a piece but I got a little discount for talking to the owner and buying two at one time. The lights have a 3 year warranty and a 90 day money back guarantee and so far I'm not planning on returning them.

Got to love another stealth led grow. looks good, only advice is i would of started to lst much earlier. As for those who are looking to buy an led, the HTG 7 band lights kick ass and theyre very reasonably priced (180w for $250). i have one in my dresser and i love it. heres my led stealth dresser. good luck and happy growing.

I second that, i was originally going to do SCROG for the first time but didn't find a good enough screen in time so I did some last minute adjustments. Its more of an lst and traditional grow mix lol. I will put pics up tonight or tomorrow there are two main colas starting to form on each plant so its not turning out too bad.

As for everyone asking what I will Yield thats any ones guess at the moment. I'm hoping for at least 2 ounces a plant but since this is my first led grow its hard to say exactly. This is a high yielding plant and Ive seen a pound harvested off of one of these done in scrog.

Heres the pics I promised about as good as I can get them on my phones camera.

white hairs are really popping out all over the place especially on the main colas, cant wait till the buds fill in. :D About to add my homemade carbon filter just need to decide on using my 400 cfm fan with a speed control or to get a smaller quieter fan somewhere. Hopefully by next update ill have it in place.

The plant on the left has an all white bud forming cant really tell whats going on with that (you can actually see it on the left plant towards the middle of it.) I just hope its not trying to make any seeds from stress because its the closest branch to the middle of the light.

some advice, those probably arent going to stretch anymore, or much more, so id raise those lights a little higher so they have a wider light distribution and so both plants can both benefit off each ufo. Also from obverservation i can tell that your (left?) plant is pretty well molded around the angle of the led(its growing on a angle because the led is set that way) leading to me believe you dont rotate them. You should be turning your plants everyday so everything gets equal light. good luck and happy farming.
